Four years ago, I stood before my middle school class on our graduation day, and I gave a speech concerning growing up and learning new secrets about your friends and yourself. A great deal of you who sit here today were apart of that class, and I hope you remember that speech, seeing as I don’t. I don’t remember a single word I preached, so I have a fresh speech today since I can’t rewrite, revise, and reprise the original one. Before I dive in too deep, more than anyone I want thank my mother, for instilling in me the desire to represent myself as an exceptional individual. If it was not for her I would not have developed my drive to succeed. I have been doing this roughly my entire life. Public speaking, the act of standing in front of others and speaking in a certain manner in which to influence, inform, or entertain the audience. Be that as it may I stand …show more content…
However, today is not the day that I will not succumb to my social anxiety, I have a message to deliver to all of you, and I hope that you will listen.
When I first started writing this speech I was planning on sugar coating everything. I planned on it being sweet, tear jerking, heart wrenching, the entire shebang. It would have been that typical high school graduation speech where you tell everyone that everything will be okay. I don’t plan on doing that, I plan on being real with you. First things first, although I stand here today as your Salutatorian, I cannot say that I am any more intelligent than any of my peers. Much the same as Erica Goldson, I can attest that I am only the best at doing what I am told. And no I am not knocking my intelligence or simply being modest, this is my truth. We are told day by day that we are unlike any other, that each of us is unique. Are we? Look around, we have all reached this major milestone in our lives, and a part of you may be
Good evening. I would like to begin by welcoming each and every one of you to this joyous and stressful occasion.
Humorous Wedding Speech by the Best Man When Daniel came to me and asked me to be his best man, it was a great honour but, when I looked at all the duties required of me, I felt he’d be better off choosing someone else. Then he offered me a fifty, but I told him that it wasn’t a decision that money could change. So then he offered me a hundred. Anyway, good evening Ladies and Gentlemen - My name is Rob and it’s my pleasure to be Daniel’s best man today.
Good afternoon ladies and gentlemen. It’s surprising just how far some people are prepared to travel for a free lunch. It’s a good job the groom didn't choose the menu, otherwise we would have had penut-butter sandwiches washed down with beer.
As Father of the Bride, I am honored to be the first to speak this evening. I would like to begin by welcoming each and every one of you on this joyous occasion. It is good to see so many friends and family here today to help celebrate Paula and Manson’s wedding. I would also like to remember those who have meant so much to our family, but could not be here today.
Let me first say that the bridesmaids look absolutely smashing today, and only rightly outshone by our bride, Pamela. And, I'm sure you'll agree with me gentlemen, today is a sad day for single men, as another beauty leaves the available list. And ladies, I'm sure you'll agree that today's passing by without much of a ripple.
I’ve tried many times over the years and even recently to have a real honest conversation with you about our future and marriage. Every time it’s either been a fight or you’ve completely shut down all communication. I never gave you an ultimatum because I wanted you to want to marry me and make that decision yourself. I know we would never be happy if I forced something and you did it just to pacify me.
Now, let me move on. It's not only about being mentored; it's about mentoring. There's a specific kind of man you have to be pouring into (to invest in his development). I’m talking about a faithful man. First, you have to be faithful before you start talking to another man about being faithful.
I’m married! Every morning, I’ve woken up to that singular, fantastic thought! I’m married! No longer did I face life alone and miserable! No longer would I look at happy couples with envy, fearing I’d never know their joy.
Hello FB world.. I'm going to spill some drama today. I will never forget this day, from 30 hours in labor, you never left by my side. Walking along the corridors and stairs of the hospital, giving me hot baths, you help me with my breathing, when I'm in pain you also feel the same and when I cried you also cried. When I felt weak you give me strength and courage.
First of all, welcome. We are very grateful that everyone took the time to attend to this special day with us. I also would like to start by saying hello to our relatives from Salvador, Mexico, and United States who for different reasons were not able to attend today, however they are watching us from their screens and i would like to take the time to say to them thank you for the support and kisses. Godparents, Parents of the Damas & Chambelanes: we thank you with all our heart for the sacrifice, the effort and the unconditional support, that you parents and godparents have given us and for making this dream possible. A dream that will be marked forever in the memory of my beloved daughter: Angie.
Hello everyone, I hope you are all having a wonderful time, helping my husband and I celebrate our wedding. I know it wouldn’t be the same without all of you here. So it’s because of this, I want to propose a toast to thank a couple of special people, because if it wasn’t for you guys, Chris and I wouldn’t be here today.
Hello everyone, may I have everybody’s undivided attention for a handful of minutes? First and foremost, I would like to thank every single one of you for coming to celebrate the life and achievement of Tori. Let all congratulate our "newly-born", Tori, on her 31st birthday!
For my seventieth birthday party speech I will say what I enjoyed about my life so far. It will start like this. Hey everyone I can’t believe I am seventieth already. Time flies like a bird can fly. I really enjoy everyone here and thank you all so much for coming today.
Today we will discuss how to be a great dad. I have always loved my son very much – he is the apple of my eye, but for some unseen reason, I could not give him enough time. I felt very guilty for doing this. Within a short time, I found him looking sad whenever I was around – thatw as the time I realsied that he felt hurt that I was not spending time with himand showing my love for him. I tried the following thigns to get closer to him and show my love for him.
Sorry this was written the day of, but I was behind on picture hunting: 12 years ago you entered my world. Today, you and I celebrate our 11th year of marriage. We might have not have had the best 11 years. We fought, and you cried. All more than we should have.
