The McGraw-Hill Connect Self-Assessment provides a series of questions that enable an individual to gain insights into their personality characteristics. Based on my answers to those questions I was able to understand the different areas of my personality. More specifically it looked at a series of areas that provided my personality insights, values and attitudes, motivation insights, and decision making/problem solving insights. The self-assessment also provided my communication skill level, how I view teamwork, and my conflict management preferences. In extraversion and openness to experience my score was eight and agreeableness was the lowest at seven. I also agree with my assessment that I have a moderate level of extraversion. In the Humanmetrics Jung Typology Test assessment, my personality type was Extravert-Sensing-Thinking-Judging (ESTJ), where I had marginal or no preference of Extraversion over Introversion (“Humanmetrics Jung Typology Test”, n.d.). People cannot simply overlook how individual behaviors influence organizational behaviors. Taking the Humanmetrics Jung Typology Test and the McGraw-Hill Connect Self-Assessment (2017) allow individuals to learn more about their personality type and characteristics in which God has gifted and equipped us to be in order to serve His purpose in whatever organization He has placed us in. My personality type leaned more towards that of an ESTJ. As an ESTJ, I have the tendency to be rigid and overly detailed. I notice that I am more like this with my family. My wife has pointed out to me that I am very rigid with our two children. I feel that there is a right way to do something and then there is a wrong way.
