But the simplest of all these kinds is the water base lemon drink, where water and lemon is the two crucial flavors in the drink. To find the answer we performed an experiment. We decided to put the drinks to the test by exercising, and then seeing how well we shoot 10 free throws. But after we exercised we drank either Powerade or Gatorade. We would then collect data, analyze it, and ultimately find out which drink is more effective. When I finished working out on Day 1, I drank Gatorade. I made 8/10. On Day 2, I drank Powerade after exercising and shot 7/10. And since the results were very similar I decided I would exercise and shoot 10 more on Day 3. But instead of drinking a sports drink I just drank water. I made 7/10. This data was very interesting. It shows Gatorade improved performance more, but nothing really stood out. So unless you plan on running a marathon or other strenuous athletic tasks, it will not really matter if you drink Powerade or Gatorade. Most alcoholic drinks are not composed solely of pure alcohol. What we choose to drink can affect our health just as much as our eating habits. It is because of this that more and more people are going for little-to-no calorie options rather than high calorie options, which are supposed to be the ideal, chose. But is it? Squirt is a caffeine-free, low-sodium carbonated soft drink brand with a distinctive blend of grapefruit juices that gives it a tangy, fresh citrus taste. Squirt is the best selling carbonated grapefruit soft drink brand in the United States. The origin of Squirt can be traced back to 1938 when a man named Herb Bishop began experimenting with Citrus Club. Bishop created a new carbonated soft drink that required less fruit and sugar to produce compared to other sodas that were being made at the time. The new drink "seemed to squirt onto the tongue," so Bishop named the drink Squirt. Squirts sales grew during WWII because its low sugar content helped bottlers restricted by sugar rationing rules. By the mid 70's, Squirt was introduced internationally in Central and South America. In 1977 a company named Brooks Products purchased Squirt from Bishop. In 1983, Diet Squirt became the first soft drink in the United States to be sweetened with Nutra Sweet. Squirt joined A&W Brands in 1986, which was later purchased by Cadbury Schweppes PLC in 1993. Responsibility for manufacturing, marketing, and distribution of Squirt was assigned to Dr Pepper/Seven Up, Inc, which had been acquired by Cadbury Schweppes PLC in 1995. It still remains under the Dr Pepper/Seven Up, Inc.
I chose to do my research about an ongoing issue with drinkable water. To narrow it down, I decided to concentrate on bottled water. This topic interests me personally, and I believe might be interesting for my classmates, as the issue affects everyone. Maybe if we realized the problems it causes, we would try drinking from a glass at home or carrying water in a refillable steel container instead of plastic. I hope that my research will change the perspective of the reader about such a convenient thing – bottled water.
Three Medical Doctors wrote the book, The Water We Drink: Water Quality and Its Effects on Health. Their names are Joshua I. Barzilay, M.D., Winkler G. Weinberg, M.D., and J. William Eley, M.D. In order to put the issue of drinking water quality and its effects on health into perspective, the book is divided into three parts. It first reviews the history of water, disease, and sanitation. The next section deals with health issues. At the conclusion of the book are chapters regarding bottled water and methods of purification. The intent of the book is to educate consumers.
Water makes up 75% of human body. It is the most important ingredient in our bodies. Today many people ignore drinking water and concentrate more into the carbonated drinks. One of the main reasons I would think people drink more carbonated drinks (such as sodas and sport drinks) is because of the way a company hype up their products and use their marketing strategies to influence people into buying them. Many benefits come out of drinking water. First, it quenches one’s thirst much better than any carbonated drinks. Second, it keeps one’s skin clear and healthy looking. In addition, it protects the human body from several diseases. Many people choose drinking sodas and sports drinks than water because water does not have much of a taste and carbonated drinks are flavored and tasteful. I guess I am one of those people who has being caught on to the hype of the soda companies. I do not really drink much water I would say I barely drink two cups a day, but I know the how good water is for my body. So I am modifying my behavior by adding more water to my diet.

Drinking water has made my skin feel less dry, and clearer. I always feel more energized after or before an exercise by drinking water. Water can also help people lose weight by making them feel fuller during, and after meals. It might be hard for people to replace their sugary or fizzy drinks for water, since water is less appealing. Just by replacing one sugary drink a day with a bottle of water can be very helpful.
