Nairobi is one of Africa's largest and most interesting cities. It's the capital city of Kenya. Within it you will find the central business district (down town) which is a great place to tune into the modern urban African life. Unfortunately like all other major cities it has a high crime rate and it's a place where you can easily get mugged hence the nickname "Nairobery" that stands as a well found warning to newly arrived tourists.
Despite the high levels of insecurity, Nairobi is a pleasant place to take a tour. Therefore this manual has comprehensive tips on how to keep safe in Nai...

...Avoid traveling alone at night or drinking by yourself.
Carry only enough money and do not carry several credit/debit cards. There have been incidences where people have been forced by thieves to withdraw money.
Do not leave valuables openly displayed in the car. Always keep them in the trunk or well hidden in the car. Do this so as to avoid thieves breaking into your car when you are out clubbing.
Do not park far off from the club.

A lot of the book takes place in Nairobi, Kenya’s largest city. The city is described by Muchoki’s mom to be “a big black hole” (pg. 29). In actuality, Nairobi is just like any other noisy, fast and busy city. Muchoki describes it as “a never-ending river of cars and lorries, matatus, pushcarts and donkey carts” (pg. 191). Muchoki, coming from a smaller city,
...only hear about the different ways that criminals are committing electronic fraud such as hacking in to somebody’s computer and stealing their credit or debit card information. There are also cases where peoples identities have been stolen and whole other lives have been built on them by another person. It all started with check fraud and although it’s not talked about as much anymore, it is still a very large concern for most business owners and people like you and me. The tips that have been provided for us can help protect us from fraud, but it is up to us to take the extra steps to prevent check fraud. We cannot sign up for check fraud protection the same way we could for credit or debit card protection or to help protect ourselves from identity theft. There are processes in place to help us once we’ve experienced check fraud but it is up to us to avoid it.

Kenya is a very important country in the world basically due to its strategic location in the East African region. It is a country that has had an interesting political walk that despite the challenges it has faced, it has managed to pull through though with an interesting history to tell. There have been different regimes in the country since it acquired its independence. Worth noting is that these regimes have come into power through different ideologies and they have guided the country in different directions. The country was colonized by the British and acquired its independence in the year 1963. Notably, Kenya is considered to have been a colonial invention which had to contend with the colonialists.
The country faces various health challenges including a high burden of communicable diseases (such as HIV/AIDS that is responsible for 29.3% of all deaths, malaria and Tuberculosis) and non-communicable diseases (Government of Kenya, 2011). Health services are provided by government, missionaries, ...

A wallet, or purse for some, is a precious item in which most people carry things more essential than money towards everyday life. If some people were to lose
In my years of experience, I've seen and worked countless car burglaries. These are just a few of the simple things to remember to keep your vehicles from being damaged and your items stolen. I think most would agree, taking thirty seconds out of your life is MORE than worth the hundreds to thousands of dollars you'll end up paying after. ONE: Don't leave anything in your vehicle worth stealing! Seriously, I know this one speaks for itself, but you wouldn't believe the items I've been told were stolen from vehicles during the night. Don't leave your book of 100 CD's sitting on the floorboard and expect it to be there in the morning. I know that most people think it's a pain to take in all those pesky belongings when they go inside for the night.
The history of Kenya is like other African countries because they had ivory that European countries wanted. In the 19th century, Christian missionaries arrived from Europe, the Berlin Conference divided Africa into spheres of influence, and in 1890 Kenya was declared a British protectorate. In 1893, coffee was introduced to Kenya. In the 1920 Kenya was declared a British colony but from 1952-1956 a state of emergency was declared in response to the Mau Mau rebellion against the British. After the rebellion, in 1963, Kenya gained their independence from Britain. A year later Kenya became a republic and Wilson Kipurgut wins the first Olympic medal for ...
