They tend to be vain and narcissistic. Even with these negative qualities, people are still drawn to them. A 3 is one of the most social numbers and they are very charming. They are good representatives to meet with clients because they are very persuasive and humorous. Their happy nature is contagious and they are experts at making people overlook, or not even notice their negative qualities. Number 3s are also very optimistic. They are always upbeat and happy. Although some may find that to be annoying, it is a refreshing quality and a 3 will always have something positive to say about new policies and ideas. Their optimistic view makes it even harder for them to accept difficult things and they are not good at handling bad situations. A 3 is very good at bringing new ideas to the table, and if your boss is a 3 they may always be trying out new ideas and policies. A breakup or death in the family can affect their work. 3s rarely think about the future and to them, anything bad seems like it may be the end of their world. They are very dramatic people and may lash out at others over their problems. It’s important to remember not to take it personally and that they are not mad at you, just mad at their situations. This can be observed throughout American history.The United States was founded on freedom, rebellion, and revolution. An example of how Americans have represented revolutionary and rebellious ideals is through the speeches, writings, and civil activists throughout American history. I had a choice to make : one of them was to look away, pretending I am not noticing anything and do nothing; second choice was to talk to them and try to explain that they can't continue behaving this way, and the third choice which is the right choice is to report them to my manager. I had to ponder for a while, and that's when I realized that my job was important to me and that I was their supervisor first and their friend second and I had to do something about this situation if I consider myself a professional. I felt that it would be fare if I would give them the benefit of the doubt and let them know how I feel and what situation that they are putting me. I was hoping they would start acting like adults. The third type of leadership style is described as situational leadership. Situational leaders assess the environment and the readiness of the employee before assigning a task (Giltinane, 2013, Grimm, 2010). Situational leaders provide direction and support based on the need at the time. Thus if an employee needs more direction than others, situational leader is able to identify the employees need and provide support accordingly. To investigate the notion of numeracy, I approach seven people to give their view of numeracy and how it relates to mathematics. The following is a discussion of two responses I receive from this short survey. I shall briefly discuss their views of numeracy and how it relates to mathematics in the light of the Australian Curriculum as well as the 21st Century Numeracy Model (Goos 2007).
