The Basketball Game Many people think of a basketball court as a place of chaos, such as a rodeo, but for some players it’s a place of relaxation. The way the lights gleam off the floor when you look at it. When you first step onto the floor and you can just feel the rowdy energy of the crowd, it makes you want to play your heart out like you know you can. Hearing the crowd celebrating every time you score an awesome basket or make a free throw. The amount of joy or nervousness you get when you play on your home court for the final time, is outrageous. That moment when you pick up a basketball and feel the raised grip against your fingers is a feeling like no other. Being able to take the aggression that may have built up throughout the dragging day is unbelievable. Staring down the defender when you are about to shoot a dead on three pointer or turning around to shoot a tough hook shot, makes you feel like you can do anything. Going into halftime when you are down, knowing that when you walk into that loathsome locker room, your teammates are going to find some way to pick up your spirit no matter how you feel. When your angered coaches walk into the room and you can feel the tenseness rise due to the fact that you are losing, makes you want to do better the second half. After a tense ten minutes, your team finally leaves the locker room. You can see the excited faces of your parents sitting in the stands, you can smell the delicious nachos that everyone is eating, and you can hear your teammates telling you to never give
