Was it the young love between the fair Romeo and Juliet, or was it the family conflicts that fell upon them that led to the demise of the love or relationship? Romeo and Juliet, told by the great Shakespeare. Upon reading or even watching Romeo and Juliet, you can see two roles that led to Romeo and Juliet’s relationship demise. There's the possibility that their young love was too unstable and caused their relationship to collapse, or it was because of the family feud between Montague and Capulet that tore their relationship apart from the seams. Yes, young love can be proven to be unstable and can cause relationships to fall apart. However, Romeo and Juliet's story shows more about how a family feud can ruin their love. Furthermore, it now has to be explained how, in fact, the family feud was actually able to fuel this feeling of loneliness and acts of impulsivity. There are two main ways that show how the family feuds, one in the form of a quote and the other in the form of an action. The quote by Juliet states, “O Romeo, Romeo! Why are you named Romeo? Disown your family and refuse your name. Or, if you will not, then swear that you love me, and I’ll stop being a Capulet.” This quote alone shows how Juliet and Romeo even recognize that the family feud is keeping them apart. The difference in names is what is causing them the pain of being separated and the start of their demise. Romeo even follows up on this sentence by agreeing and saying that I will disown my family name if it means that they could be together. The action that shows that it's the family feud that caused their demise is the biggest turning point in the story. When Tybalt kills Mercutio, Romeo then kills Tybalt, but Romeo is then banished.
