I am Tessa Wilson. Art has been a big part of my life for a long time. I love to do anything art related, wether it be picking up a pencil and drawing, getting out my paints and painting a picture, or even just doodling in my notebook. Art has effected me and how I am as a person profoundly. Throughout my essay you will see just how much art and everything about it has made me who I am today and how I got into art and what happened to make me be fond of art. Not only has art effected me, though, it has effected my life. Where my art has grown the most is in my art room. This simple room is where I have spent hours drawing and trying to get that last detail on my painting right. In this room is where I can convey my self. Through my I art I …show more content…
This is where most of my story takes place. Art has made me who I am today. It has not only changed me but it has also changed my outlook on life. After I started to take art seriously I started to notice little details and I started to listen more because when I am making art I have to notice everything in what I am drawing. When I listen I actually take in what that person is saying and I don't just let it go through one ear and out the other I think about it. Art has made me appreciate other art more. Without art I wouldn't be who I am today. What got me into art was one trip to the Dallas Museum of Art. I most likely wouldn't have gone there without my mom. She had wanted to go to the museum to look at all the art. I had originally not wanted to go, thinking that it was going to be boring and nothing there was going to capture my attention. When I went there I was amazed at all the art but one artist in particular caught my eye. A piece by the artist Albrecht Dürer intrigued me. His style of art was what I wanted to do so when I got home I immediately started …show more content…
Before art I could never fully express my feelings into anything but now that I have art I can take what I am feeling and put it onto the paper. Art is a much easier communicating tool than talking. With art I feel that I can express myself more than with just saying words. It is always easier to express what I am feeling or what I want through art. If I am sad, mad, or even just content I can pick up a pencil and start to draw and I will still immediately feel happy and at peace. My liking for art has not only affected me, but the people around me too. If I hadn't gotten into art I probably would not be the same person and I would not see the people around me like I do right now if I did not like art. As you have already read, art has made me notice the little details in my surroundings. I would not have the same friendship with my friends if it were not for art. I notice the small details in my friends that make them unique. Art had been a big factor in not only me but my friendships as well. Art has had a big impression on me throughout my whole life. It has shaped me into the person I am today and I still forming me. Art has always been with me and will continually have a special place in my art, as cheesy as that
If I were to ask you what is art, and how can one find it? What would you say? Well if it were me being asked those question, I would simply say that art to me is a form of a picture; a visual painting or model of some design and it could be found all among us. You may define it differently only because art could be defined in many ways. I could simply say that art to me is a form of a picture; a visual painting or model of some design. Well according to an article written by Shelley Esaak, an art history expert she mentioned that art has a way of stimulating different parts of our brains to make us laugh or incite us to riot, with a whole gamut of emotions in between. She also mentioned that art gives us a way to be creative and express ourselves. [1]
My first experience at the museum was a good one. I had so much fun even after we were done with the Norton-Simon. Being a business major, I did not know that art could speak to me as it did. It has not influenced me so much as to change my major, but it did open my eyes to a whole new world. Now when I look at art, I do not just see a pretty picture, but what the artist is actually trying to say.
How experiences can effect someone’s art is if someone is happy they make a happy drawing they are sad they might make a sad drawing. So feelings can change how an artist draws.
Rhys Southan’s essay “Is Art a Waste of Time?” is about art and if it can really help people who are suffering or is it just better to hand over your money. In Yo-Yo Ma’s essay “necessary Edges: Arts, Empathy, and Education” he focuses more on art being used as educational purposes to essentially create more innovative/empathetic people. Instead of focusing so much on STEM, the author states that we should incorporate art too. Although some people might say art does not play a role in making the world a better place. I believe it can by bringing awareness to different social issues. Also, if we incorporate art at a young age it can teach kids to be open minded and happier people.
All forms of art have greatly influenced my life and have had an enormous effect on me as a person. Throughout high school, of all the great works of literature, poetry, and other types of art that have given me a feeling of joy, my senior year I discovered one piece of literature that stands out and opens my eyes to the world around me. Art, literature and music not only intrigue and inspire me, but also despite all of the thought provoking choices at hand, Brave New World, by Aldous Huxley, has had the greatest affect on my opinion of the world.
Art has influenced my life dramatically as it made me grow into the young man I am today. Art has been shown in music and movies because it goes through the creative process just like all other art. In this essay, I will explain how both music and movies influenced my life.
When you love to do something, you want to do it every day, all the time, till you get sick of it. Even then that excitement and devotion to do it is still there. That is how I feel about art. I have a great passion for it. It is a form where I can express myself in a way words can’t.

middle of paper ... ... Arts classes are important and should be an essential part of our society. Being artistic and creative can help students be who they are and stand out. It can help them use their knowledge and come up with extraordinary ideas to make big changes in the world, and it can also keep students away from bad things and be better human beings by doing what they are interested in.
Throughout the ages art has played a crucial role in life. Art is universal and because art is everywhere, we experience it on a daily basis. From the houses we live in (architecture) to the movies we see (theatre) to the books that we read (literature). Even in ancient culture art has played a crucial role. In prehistoric times cave dwellers drew on the wall of caves to record history. In biblical times paintings recorded the life and death of Christ. Throughout time art has recorded history. Most art is created for a specific reason or purpose, it has a way of expressing ideas and beliefs, and it can record the experiences of all people.
I think about art often. My father is an artist as well as my sister. I grew up surrounded by art either in paintings, dance, or art performances I attended at my sister’s high school, the arts academy. My desire to create art must have a root in my childhood, where I was constantly involved in beautiful creations of the human
The arts have influenced my life in amazing ways. Throughout my life, art has been the place I run to and my escape from the world. As I’ve grown older, art has become so much more than that. Every piece of art I create is a journey into my soul. It’s a priceless way to deal with my emotions and my struggles. I create art not only because I enjoy it and because I want to, but because I have to. Somewhere deep inside there is a driving force, urging me to put my heart down on paper. I become emotionally attached to each of my pieces because they are like dashes on the wall marking my growth. Each one is the solution to a problem I have dealt with and overcome.
When looking into society once can be influenced by a number of issues. These issues can include art. Art is work that is put together by an individual. It is a true creative act that is used as a form of expression from the artist. Art is inspiring and can influence a society. Art work is seen through acting, music, and pictures.
There are also things like feelings and emotions that science fails to explain. Art can really help express one’s feelings as it captures their mood and style in it. One of the biggest advantages of art is that it can help capture different perspective and give us a better understanding of life. Instead of giving us a universal truth, like science, art can give us wisdom from different experiences.
Firstly, it enhances students creativity by allowing them to make a self-expression. In most art programms, students are asked to create a painting that represents memory or compose a new rhythm for a piece of music.
