There were good things and bad things that had happened in 2016, but I’m only going to talk about the good things that happened. One of the good things that happened in 2016, is I got my second honor roll in 7th grade. I had gotten my first one the previous year. Getting honor roll was quite easy in 7th grade, mainly, because I was on a team that barely had any homework to give out. Then the tests would be quite easy, also, because I would study for them. The Second good thing that happened in 2016, is I made new friends. I made new friends both in 7th grade and 8th grade. Some of them I talk to from time-to-time, but others I talk to quite often. I’ve met so many new people from this school, with all different personalities. Some of them
are little devils and others are kind of normal. I thought making new friends would be hard, because I’m not one to talk quite a lot and I’m not like other people who can walk up to someone and be like “Hey, how’s it going?” Unless I know the person. The last and final good thing that happened in 2016, is I got a new room. Well, not all to myself. I have to share it with my nieces. My room is the biggest room out of our whole house. The walls are painted with a pastel pink, but you can’t really see the color until it’s around night time. That is because our window is on the side usually where the sun is, and it brightens the whole room up. In conclusion, there were good and bad things that happened 2016, but I wanted to talk about the good things. There were so many things that had happened that year. Some people had better years than others, but hopefully, 2017 is a better year for everyone.
I’m so happy to be given the opportunity to join National Junior Honor Society(NJHS). I would love to be a member. I think it is important for kids to be involved in the community. Also, myself personally it would be an honor to be a face for our school.
As a student at Northvale Public School, I have grown up with my older siblings being inducted into an organization called the National Junior Honor Society. I had seen all the hard work and dedication they put into their school work and activities just to get into this society, making me want to be just like them. Then a few weeks ago, I found a note on my desk in homeroom telling me that I had been nominated to be apart of this society. Through citizenship and character, leadership, and service, I intend on being inducted into the society I have heard so much about. Though it will take a lot of effort this school year, being a part of this society is a dream of mine that I will make sure to come true.
Eighth grade was one of the greatest school years of my life. This year was full of new experiences, and I have learned so much from them. In English class, we’ve learned a bunch of skills and did numerous activities. We learned about Anne Frank and the Holocaust. We had the opportunity to read many great books, all having a special and unique meaning to them. Our class also learned a variety of skills and strategies ranging from reading comprehension tips to learning how to use the comma. ELA this year was extremely informative and helpful but amusing at the same time.
I had a good year in first grade. I became the best artist in the class. I started getting better at English. My first word was “bathroom.” I made two friends Michelle Sherman and Karen Calle. After that I started feeling better and actually liking this school. Everything felt better and worked out great!
There are more than 135 merit badges, and any Boy Scout may earn any of these at any time. The merit badge counselor is a key player in the Boy Scout advancement program. Whatever your area of expertise or interest—whether it is a special craft or hobby (basketry, leatherwork, coin collecting), a profession (veterinary medicine, aviation, engineering), or perhaps a life skill (cooking, personal management, communications)—as a merit badge counselor, you can play a vital role in stirring a young man's curiosity about that particular topic. By serving as a merit badge counselor, you offer your time, knowledge, and other resources so that Scouts can explore a topic of interest.
Honor is….hook. On October 9 2012, an honorable young girl fought for her rights and the rights of others, only to be met with a bullet to her head; this girl’s name is Malala Yousafzai. There are few people in the world with this much honor and good moral. Honor is shown when people act with integrity, taking matters into their own hands to make a good change in the world. Culture affects honor because it causes people to see the world through different aspects (views) , but people still stand up for what they believe in, whether it is on their lifestyle, education, or religion. While Seikei depicts honor by following the samurai code of conduct in Medieval Japan, Winston Churchill’s acts of optimism during the 20th century, and Malala’s courage to fight for what she believes in all the way in Pakistan display honor.

During this year I learned who my real friends are. I had to cut a lot of people out of my life. It was hard but worth it. I did nothing wrong and they would blame me for things. You want people in your life who push you to do your best everyday and I had some friends who would just tear me down.
I am planning on taking honors English 10 next year. Because English 9 does not do grammar, but Honors does, I was wondering if there was something I could do over the summer to be prepared for the grammar next year. I know it is the end of the year and everyone is super busy but if you could put together some grammar papers or let me sign out a grammar book for the summer it would be much appreciated.
My mom would always tell me, “Make each moment count. Sometimes you will never know the true value of a moment till it becomes a memory.” I have tried to live this idea and appreciate every moment of life as it comes at me. 2016 was no different. In the year 2016, I have attended school 3,000 miles away from home, moved to a new states, been to 16 new states, seen the Atlantic ocean and so much more amazing things. As this year comes to a close it is sad to see it all turn into another memory. Then I remind myself to be happy to have lived it. Looking back on such an eventful year, the highlights were not these quick moments that were here and then they were gone. My highlights have been a bunch of little moments that turn into big moments.
My 8th grade year has been great so far and it also has gone by kind of fast.I wasn’t expecting this year to be as fun as it was and as easy as it was.I had straight A's except for one B .I really like my gym class and my LA class too cause I get to see all of my friends and the teachers are really nice.Lunch is also a lot better that last year cause now we are the big dogs and we don't have to rush to get a seat anymore.I also have been following my goals that I have set which are stay on task and don't talk when the teacher is talking, don't be rude to my classmates and, stay on top of my grades.
My New Friends The transition from middle school to high school is something that every teenager longs for. It’s a time where one feels like they’re open to more opportunities and one of those opportunities is making new friends. For me, I didn’t think I needed new friends, nor did I want any. From elementary school, all throughout middle school, I had the same group of friends.
Good evening, ladies and gentlemen, friends and family, faculty, students, and most of all Graduates of the class of 2016. It is an honor to speak to you on this special occasion. Today is an important milestone in [my life] and all of my classmates lives. It’s the day when we can finally experience the results of 2 years of hard work and sacrifice. It is the day we can stand proud as living monuments to the proverbial saying, “anything that doesn’t kill you can only make you stronger.”
This year was very productive. I think I improved a lot this year. I have excelled my expectations for this year. I have done a lot that I am proud of. I am proud that i have beaten my goals for P.E, academics, and spiritual life.
I was able to overcome many problems and challenge myself in different aspects. At the very beginning of the year, I was very sensitive and having a bad experience meant a bad life to me. Later on, I started to realize what I am doing in school, and why I am here… I understood that life without ups and downs means you're died.
