High School Sports Career

It was May of my senior year in high school. I just finished up my high school sports career and I was wondering what was in store for me next. With summer coming up and playing sports all my life I’m extremely active, so one of my buddies and I decided we were going to look for a summer job. We really had no idea what we wanted to do, because we’ve both never had a job before. About a week later we see flyers around the high school about a summer job delivering Coca-Cola. We thought “why not”, so we later called them and they made us fill out an information packet and we set up a job interview. Now it’s interview day, my time is set at 9:00 A.M., his is 9:30. I basically went on saying, “I just graduated from West Point High

School. That I have never had a job, so I don’t have any work experience, but I went on to tell him that I’ve played sports my whole life. He said, “sports can teach you so many lessons in life, and you have to work hard and be dedicated. And that’s what I’m looking for in a worker. The job interview took about 15 minutes, so I called my buddy that was on his way to the interview to tell him what all happened and what questions he asked. I later received a phone call saying that I received the job and would start Monday. Monday rolls around, and it was my first day of my first job ever. I had to arrive at 6:00 A.M. I got there at 5:45, and entered the break room where all the employees are sitting, and talking before they would start their day. I had to introduce myself to all of them. The boss went into the room and called me into his office, and he hooked me up with some Coca-Cola shirts and a few pairs of shorts. He also said, “we have to get you a name tag so you can look official.” I got back into the break room and was told the employee I will be going with on the day, and so my first job
