I first started orchestra when I was 9 years old as part of the 4th grade strings program at Canterbury Woods Elementary School. I decided to join orchestra largely in part due to my older brother, who had also started orchestra in 4th grade and had continued all the way through high school and into college. He was always saying how much fun orchestra was and my parents told stories of all the fun things he did in orchestra. Therefore, I decided to follow in my brother’s footsteps and play the violin.
