There are so many memories I have as a young teenager that could have had an impact on my adult life. The most memorable decision or choice that impacted my adult life was having a little girl at age seventeen. Actually, she was conceived at age seventeen during my senior year of high school but was not born until after I was eighteen. Having a child at a young age came with several life changes such as how it affected school, financially, stress and relationships. As you will see these obstacles were overcome. High school was by far the most awful time as a teenager. At seventeen years old, I was working two jobs and going to school my senior year when it happened. I became pregnant with my first child. What do I do? Unfortunately, I made the wrong decision regarding school and I stopped going half-way through my senior year. I would soon learn that not having a high school diploma would come with consequences. Some of the consequences were not having my diploma, then having to pay to go back to school to achieve it, graduating at the age of twenty-eight, and putting off furthering my education until now. I would advise any young lady in that situation to finish for their diploma because without it, you will face financial difficulties as well. …show more content…
How am I going to buy her what she needs? There are always consequences to every choice you make. What were some of my financial difficulties? To start, I had a lot of extra bills to pay for. I had an apartment, electric, water, formula, diapers, the list goes on and on. Ok, with all these extra bills how am I going to pay for them without a high school diploma? The struggle was now real with my finances. I began working for eleven dollars an hour at a veterinarian office. Now I have overcome school and finances; I would like to discuss how the experience came with added
In colonial and revolutionary literature, people were persuasive. To persuade someone is to cause someone to something through reasoning or argument. That's how people got what they wanted. Patrick Henry, Thomas Paine, and Thomas Jefferson were all persuasive writers. They wrote with rhetorical questions, repetition, exaggeration, and emotional appeal.
A high school diploma is practically just a piece of paper anymore. You must have a college degree in order to get a well-paying job. Sure you can go into the labor force right out of high school, but you may only be making $40,000 a year. That much money may sound like a lot, but in reality it is not. People with a college degree tend to make twice that amount, if not three or four times that amount of money a year.
In my honest opinion, whatever we do or whatever happens to us as a child strongly impacts who we become. For me, I had 3 main events happen in my life in which I strongly believe have impacted my life. The three main events in my life were when I moved to Laredo, TX, when I came out as gay, and the many times I changed schools.
The life I had and the life I will have, have changed me as a person entirely. I became more confident and I’m learning to be independent. This would not have been accomplished without the motivation of my parents are their never ending trust and support in me. My friends have also influenced who I was because of good peer pressure and avoidance of the misguided children in school. I have a lot left to go through in my life according to Piaget, Erikson, and Kohlberg.

Would you say you were in love as an adolescent? Teenagers can be in love. They can be in love because many people have wedded and stayed with their senior high boyfriend or girlfriend. Also it is beneficial to be in a serious relationship at a young age. In senior high, couples go through a lot together so they are stronger as a couple. Adolescents can be in love despite the fact that people may not think they are mature enough.
Growing up I was always told to enjoy being young; now I see why. A plethora of young teens today become pregnant in high school. I just so happen to be one of those girls. I would have to say it was a life changing experience for me. As a result, the parallelism between the aspects of my life as a teenager and as a teen mom are stress, responsibility and my emotions.
To be able to attend college you need your high school diploma. If you drop out in the 10th grade you will have never received your diploma. Most jobs require you to have some kind of education. If you can't go to college because you dropped out of high school your job selections are very few.
The beginning of high school was particularly fun for me because it was a new experience for me and a great one because I was with all my friends since we were all in the same school again. I did not take the first year, two years in high school as serious as I realize now in senior year that I should have. I used that time to just hang out and have something to do with my friends, not to improve my knowledge and better help my education. I never failed a class but I did not work as hard as I now realize I should have, but I think my failure to work hard in my early high school help me set up and be a better person in my senior year and even more now as I am planning on moving to college.

There have been many influential people and events that have come into my life for the better, and changed me completely as a person. However, one experience that I believe was a turning point and a great influence in my life was when I changed schools in the third grade. Going to a new school with friendly people and a wide range of opportunities allowed me to become more confident in myself and in turn changed my life for the better. At the first school I attended, I was very shy and unsure of myself.
