Obtaining a high school diploma can mean different things for different people. For me, it means accomplishing my first major goal in life. It also begins a new phase in my life as I enter adulthood and begin planning for my future in the workforce and furthering my education. Finally, obtaining my high school diploma shows others that may be watching me or look up to me that if you stick with it, you can succeed in whatever you set your mind to. These are just a few reasons why my high school diploma is important to my future. When I receive my diploma, it will be the first major goal that I’ve accomplished in life. Having a high school diploma allows me to apply for jobs that require a high school diploma and it also opens the door for me to continue my educational career. Many of the things that I’ve learned during this phase of life will assist me in the next phase. I will keep building on what I’ve learned as I maneuver through adulthood. Graduation is an exciting time in a person’s life, especially a high school graduation. When I think of family and friends gathering together to celebrate a joyous occasion, I feel I accomplished my strongest goal. It never occurred to me that graduation would be the end of my youth and the start of adulthood. Graduating from high school was an influential event that gave me an altered outlook on my existence. Life before graduation, preparing for graduation day, and commencement day overwhelmed me for reality.

It is important for students to graduate high school because there are more jobs available & more opportunities for college. This would help you pursue your “successful lifestyle”. Lots of employers(including Uncle Sam) and schools don’t look at the GED as equivalent to a diploma and raise the admissions or hiring standards for GED holders because they haven’t earned a four-year diploma. Not really fair is it? Employers are going to look at a high school diploma and know that you had the smarts and persistence to stick with high school for four years.
For most people who want to pursue and can afford higher education, and also is ready to suffer from debt; the option is always available. Whether it’s to continue on achieving a bachelor’s degree, after gaining a high school diploma, or from a masters to a PhD; when people enter the job market with these degrees, which states they are certified to work in the field. that they majored in at a university or college; the graduates are now looking to be employed at a job that will provide a good salary; this will allow them to make a living for themselves and or family. Additionally, this new founded job will help them pay off their college debt. Everyone has their own personal meaning to what they believe, what higher education should serve
My senior year of high school…I want to enjoy people’s company, appreciate my family’s presence, and keep a permanent Polaroid of my “home town” etched in my memory. I have a purpose for the year, I know what I want to accomplish for the future, but I have to remember to make the most out of today because there may not always be a tomorrow.
Even though college life is harder, high school still important in our lives because it determines whether you are ready for your career or not. During my high school time I was a straight A student, which made me feel like a V.I.P person because of the way my instructors treated me. I have been given that chance to give the graduation speech because of my file. Also, I was number three in my high school out of a 600 senior students even though I had hard-ships during 11th grade, where I was falling back and did not do well in some mid-terms. But eventually, I managed to go back to the top and ace the 11th grade.
Graduation: the last day that I would unwillingly set foot on the fields of Horizon High School. I could feel my heart beating out of my chest, and tried so hard to keep my feet moving one after the other in order to maintain my perfect stature. After the two hour wait of opening speeches, class songs, and the calling off of the five hundred plus names that were in front of me, it was finally my turn. As my row stood up and we walked towards the stage it had set in at last, this is it, I am done. My high school career ended on that night, but it didn’t close the book that is my life, it only started a new chapter, and with it came a whole slue of uncertainties.
