The beginning of high school was particularly fun for me because it was a new experience for me and a great one because I was with all my friends since we were all in the same school again. I did not take the first year, two years in high school as serious as I realize now in senior year that I should have. I used that time to just hang out and have something to do with my friends, not to improve my knowledge and better help my education. I never failed a class but I did not work as hard as I now realize I should have, but I think my failure to work hard in my early high school help me set up and be a better person in my senior year and even more now as I am planning on moving to college. In my freshman and sophomore years of high school
High school was not a completely dreadful experience, but I did not get a really an exceptional education. As I entered high school, I thought it would be a whole new exciting chapter in my life. I started out as an involved student, and went through all of the Advance Placement and Honor classes, and managed to be at the top 12% of my class. In high school, I basically placed myself to enjoy it; I joined all of the extra curricular activities I was interested in. I was in band, tennis, swimming, dance team, and Key Club. Sometimes I was at school for about fourteen hours a day, four times a week.
I have to admit that I will not look fondly on my high school career. I spent most of my study time going out with my friends. I felt that I was paying my dues with the eight hours of boredom that began most of my days. Until now there were only a few classes that I enjoyed. In retrospect, I believe that it was my inability to choose the classes I took which resulted in my lack of enthusiasm on the ride to school each morning.
High school trained me by actually taking responsibilities on my actions but also on my work. I concentrate way harder than I used to back in middle school since the grades are going to follow me through college. I have made myself want to finish my work because it will be way harder in the long run if I didn’t. I have learned how to better interact with other people. This sounds abnormal but it’s true. I used to hang out with only a small group of friends in middle school because I didn’t want to get to know other people.
I envision high school as an essential stepping stone for everyone. The era where every individual lacks the complete confidence in defining who they are or what they want to be. The four years of high school was the moment and opportunity to seek the interests that stood out to me the most. The experiences you make and the people you associate with are a crucial part of finding yourself.
Southeastern University is a private, Co-ed, Christian university. SEU’s main focus is to equip their students to be a next generation of leaders so that they can enter the real world as influential servants to their careers and communities. Southeastern university offers a plentiful amount of study programs, even the program I am interested in which is Human services. I selected this school First because it is a Christian college, and Second because of the programs of study. I chose to go to a Christian college because I grew up in a Christian household and because I believe in Jesus. I also chose Southeastern University because of the programs of study. SEU was one of the few colleges that had a program of study that I was interested in.
My High School life has helped shape the way for my college experiences that I will face. My senior year in high school is not the same as many other high school students. I am taking many advanced classes to help me prepare for college. These classes help me better understand exactly how much harder I must work to succeed.
School is a necessity in America, most children in America attend some sort of school. However school during summer break is a different topic. Some students are required to attend summer school because of the need to retake courses that they didn’t do well on, but I’ll be focusing on summer school that students want to attend or are forced to attend. As with everything, summer school has good and bad qualities. Summer school provides extra knowledge to students and some programs even allow students to advance a grade or class. In addition summer schools also provide a chance for students to make new friends and meet new people. On the other hand summer schools may take away time from students who want to have fun during summer rather than learning like they regularly do. Many students also want to hang out with their own friends, but summer school conflicts their schedules. There are many ups and downs to summer school, but it’s really up to you.
Any form of studying has got a scope, a time limit and must achieve some objectives at the end of the day. There are goals that the learner needs to meet as well in learning liberal arts. Based on the previous papers and projects on this subject, this discussion will focus on the achievement of the course aims, critical analysis of life problems and other issues.
High school has been a very interesting experience for me. It has definitely had its highs and lows and many confusing experiences in between. Overall, I feel like I have been equipped for not only college, but also life as a whole. High school has taught me many things, both academically and emotionally. It has revealed and exposed my true colors, both good and bad, and as a result, has built many aspects of my character. My experiences at Alameda High school and Alameda Community Learning Center have shaped me into the person that I am today.
There are several key behaviors you have to have when you go out to your school practicum sites and there are many reasons why you should have them.
High school senior students have the most difficult year then other grade levels since they have activities and the mandatory senior paper. Do you think that students in high school have as much fun as they tell their parents when they get home at the end of the day? High school has been known as “hell” to many students from freshman to seniors in high school. Students don’t tell their parents as much as they should now, then before the twenty first century. Since the tennagers wont tell their parents, most all of high school students struggle to keep their grades up during their senior year. The senior papers should be tampered with throughout all high schools because this transaction would let seniors deal with less stress, and less
Having an education is a fundamental human right. Unfortunately, people in need have less chances of receiving an education, while many Texan students take that valuable opportunity for granted. Today’s students give priority to the unimportant things, instead of planning for a successful future. Education can open many doors that dejectedly people choose to close every day.
To a kid, “back to school” signals the end of summer fun and a return to strict rules and schedules--and worse, homework. (UGH!) To a parent, it can mean freedom; not having to drive a “bored” whiner from one activity to the next, or worry about where a teen is hanging out or what they might be up to. For the drained parent, those three words offer a Hallelujah! ray of light at the end of a ten-week-long tunnel. (Finally! A chance to breathe and regain some sanity!)
Junior high was a whole new world when I got there. There were so many kids and so many classrooms. I did not know what to think. I remember the coolest thing about junior high was having passing periods. I loved talking to all my friends and going to different classes. It was a lot more freedom. The most memories I have from junior high are teen canteen. It was the coolest thing known to a teenager at the time. It was a dance every other Friday and we would get ready for hours. Again, the work became harder but I still liked coming to school more than ever. My school days are filled with great experiences and many memories. It is fun to look back and see how much I have grown as a person and how far I have come. When I look at the past I smile because I had a lot of fun and I know that I have many more memories to come!
Time flies so fast. Looking back, my high school is just like a movie, a lot of things happened. High School is four years of growing up and probably a time in your life where you go through the most changes. In high school you are able to discover yourself and find out who you are as a person. Each year is special and unique in their own way. My journey through high school was a tough one, especially because I decided to not only focus on academic work but also to invest quality time in extra curriculum activities. I wanted more than just academic excellence; I wanted to be a leader, I wanted to add value to every aspect of my life, I wanted a rounded education and not just mere schooling. My success story is what I will like to share with you; how I really made it and how this defines my personality. My journey in High School was scary, exciting, and successful.
