Experiencing the New Borstal Canes: A Review

Time for another consolidation...

The feedback from the lads who have tasted the new Borstal Canes is interesting. They, like me, were surprised at the amount of sting from such a heavy cane and I'd imagine that they sting a lot more when taken bare. The cumulative effect of their sting is fascinating. I certainly found that the sting never diminished, whereas I would have expected it to as my backside got used to the cane, but equally it never increased either. I guess this illustrates the joy of taking a severe implement like these canes across one's bare buttocks! Jan's reaction is particularly illuminating, both in the time he took to get into his stride and also his occasional faltering thereafter. Your new Borstal Canes are clearly best reserved for your harder lads, Andy, as we will appreciate them the most!

It is true that young Andy was warned, in no uncertain terms, that his next thrashing for smoking would be considerably harder than any

thrashing that he'd been given before. It's clear that these Borstal Canes will easily deliver that step change in severity, especially when well soaked. The lad knows the risks and consequences of getting caught again and he will only have himself to blame when he feels first hand just how challenging these canes are to take, as the sting accumulates and then the soaked canes pummel his buttocks.

There is always a fundamental risk, that when a game and hard lad like Hardman repeatedly takes the Army Birch, that he then becomes a very, very hard lad, who doesn't properly feel his punishments.

I'd agree, that this can often then make the lad cocky, which will not do. You are right, that to remedy this, Hardman needs birching with exceptional severity, so that this cycle can be broken. As well as addressing any latent cockiness, an exceptionally severe birching should properly welt Hardman's buttocks, which so far has not happened. Staff Wilding is certainly a hard enough man to do lay on such a birching and he knows that he needs to do his Military Duty in full, both to overcome the very real toughness of the lad's buttocks and also to ensure that Captain Flog is satisfied with the lad's flogging. As Staff Wilding is keenly aware, if Captain Flog doesn't see serious welts and cuts across Hardman's buttocks, then Captain Flog will order that Staff Wilding is then severely flogged with the Army

Cat.

Just like Hardman, Manning is a game and hard lad who can take some serious punishment across his buttocks. Out of all the implements that Manning has taken, he fears Staff Sergeant Hardman's thick, heavy belt the most. The lad does indeed think that he's tasted the very worst that this belt has to offer, but he doesn't realise that this was actually just a tickle, compared to how hard Staff Hardman will be tanning his backside if Manning doesn't toe the line. Staff Hardman will eventually make a good soldier out of Manning, by regularly and resolutely leathering him most severely. The lad will indeed be grateful for the Staff Sergeant's efforts in the end, although he will suffer pain far worse than he could ever imagine, as he goes through the process. What is more, Manning has yet to taste the Buckle-End of Staff Hardman's belt and when he does so, he will realise that while the leather of his belt hurts like fuck, the Buckle-End hurts ten times more, as it batters his buttocks to a bloody and agonising mess.

While Staff Wilding is determined to flog Staff Hardman with the Army Cat with the utmost severity, he nonetheless feels real sympathy for the Staff Sergeant, as his floggings are driven purely by Captain Flog's jealousy. Staff Wilding will have to put this to the back of his mind and concentrate on flogging Staff Hardman as accurately and severely as he can, as Staff Wilding knows that he needs to do his Military Duty. The one thing that Staff Wilding knows for sure, is that Staff Hardman will stand tall and take his flogging like the real hard man that he is. It is for this reason that Staff Wilding has no qualms about laying the Army Cat on with real severity, as he knows that Staff Hardman can take it like a real man and that it is what the British Army expects Staff Wilding to do.

I think that the harder a man is, the more that he looks to be stretched and challenged in life and no more so than when taking Corporal Punishment. When a hard man pushes his boundaries, he creates a new 'high water mark' in his achievements. This then sets a new baseline, which he then strives to surpass. Thus a man grows ever harder, more resolute, and more manly as a result.

I am intrigued about your plan when my wife is next away!

The 20th April looks good in my diary. I have a meeting that ends at 12:30, but I should still be able to get to you by 13:00 hrs.

As I texted this evening, I've had to work late tonight, but fortunately I wrapped up earlier than I was fearing... My time scales for writing my email are compressed a bit, but I'm trying very hard to spot slips and errors. When I do make errors, it does genuinely upset me, in part because I've failed to maintain attention to detail, but mostly as I know that I then undo some of the progress that I've made in becoming a real hard man. As you rightly point out, Andy, you would hold me in much greater respect, if I were not still trying to overcome this issue that I have.
