People often interchange the term management and leadership style. Although both seems to have similar principle because it requires guiding or controlling a group of people to achieve goals, both have actually different outcomes of expectations. Management level is about getting things done whereas leadership style motivates and getting people to be committed in achieving the overall goals. In handling an organization, the style of leadership or management has no fix, right or wrong to use as it depends on the organization industry and sector. Organization can adopt one style or can lean over with two styles combining.

Also, having healthy citizens ensures social strength, financial security and political stability (Tammy Dray, 2013). Hence, it is essential to have a competent, forward-looking and proficient management to develop and nurture the organization.

Bureaucratic management style seems appropriate to pursue for healthcare industry and to those who engage in routine tasks because it is about ensuring that people follow procedures strictly. This style consists of various layers of management levels and positions thus decision making has to undergo several section heads for approval as information typically flows from top to down wards.

Similarly to healthcare sectors, decisions making needs to have authorization and it is crucial as not to jeopardize the safety of the society. However, both have the same desired target to work into. It has already been ruled out that the management plans whereas the leaders execute the plan. Hence, there is no one style to fit all or the organization and there is also no right or wrong in the choosing of the style because each management and leaders have their own ways in approaching to people and projects. Being effective is to understand your strengths and weakness and be comfortable with your own style. Healthcare organizations are generally strict with their leadership style because health matter can lead to deadly consequences therefore a firm and visionary leader is essential. It is not easy to be handling people management because trust and capability is the few factors to consider in a leader. There is so much a individual can implement but if the group of people is not highly motivated or lacking in skills and knowledge, the leader can is still considered as an ineffective leader, hence the upper management level needs to step in to boost up the morale and amend the shortcomings.
