The ability to study for just one of the test at a time instead of having to study for them all at the same time is another thing that kept me at ECU. Another favorable factor in my decision for me is that my internship during the summer will count as an elective credit toward the program. I think that the internship will be very valuable to my learning and I am fortunate to be able to take part in a great opportunity while working to complete my courses for the MSA program. Likewise, I wanted to stay at ECU for my MSA program because of the opportunities that this program will open for me. The ability to be able to attend a prestigious program that can prepare me for a successful accounting career and for successful completion of the CPA exam is an amazing opportunity that most will not be able to say they were a part of. College Admissions Essay If someone asked me where I am going to be in ten years, this would be my answer. I have a great, high-paying job, and beautiful wife and family, and a nice sports car parked in front of my lovely house. When I look into the future, I see myself being successful and happy. Even though I always pictured myself this way, I never worried too much about how I would get there.
There are very few things in life that are definitive, but I considered a legal profession to be ideal for me. Unfortunately, I had to restructure my objective and locate an occupation that would be gratifying to me for the next 40 years. After pondering, I determined that my strengths were the following: using statistics to assist growth, working efficiently to meet deadlines/goals, solving issues based on logic, maintaining a strong organizational trait to uphold standards, participating in team assignments, and conquering challenging tasks. Although none of my strengths were surprising, I discovered that I underestimated the importance of being in a position that would be challenging, yet, allow me to be innovative while retaining a role that would be vital to a company. After years of contemplating, I chose to seek a master degree in business administration. Initially, I planned to attend Bethel University, and then continue at Union University, but my plans were disrupted due to an unexpected personal matter. Consequently, I couldn’t start at Union, but I did complete 2 courses at Bethel. Once I was able to continue, Union’s schedule conflicted with mine, so, naturally, I decided to complete my degree at Bethel because I was familiar with the school’s credentials and enjoyed the flexibility of the program. Although I earned an “A” in Managerial Accounting and Economics at Bethel University, there are other reasons that qualify me as a great candidate for the MBA program.
After being accepted to Longwood University, my family and I sat down to discuss my goals. During our conversation, my sisters questioned my ability to achieve these goals, while my parents inquired why Longwood University should play a role in my aptitude for higher education. To systematically answer most of their questions, my father Larry, my sister Candyce and I set out to attend a campus tour. It was that tour which made me I fell in love with the campus and community. Through Longwood University, I have received a community of people that sincerely care about my education, my family, my health, and my dreams. As I contemplate empowering the youth and setting a standard for future generations, I must advance to become a Longwood University Master of Business Administration via the MBAdvantage Program with a concentration in Real Estate.

...eam of becoming a business professor. I am so passionate about the opportunity to build up tomorrow’s leaders and to contribute to the growth of business theory and practice. Teaching and training of the next generation business leaders is one of the most fascinating roles a business professor could hope to achieve. Furthermore, an accounting professor would engage in research that enhances business thinking and practice. The classroom setting offers the chance to introduce and test what was uncovered in research and learn from the discussions that ensue in class. The class discussions, I believe, would help the reevaluation of the assumptions and conclusions and to further sharpen the focus of the research.

However, sophomore year, I experienced my first college accounting course which began to quickly erode my interest in pursuing a biology major. I had enjoyed and excelled in business courses during high school, but upon entry into college, I decided to take a different direction in my studies. I made the decision to change majors after several more business courses during the following semesters, as I reconciled head and heart. The difficulty I faced acclimating to a new major was trying, but out of it emerged a renewed love for and pursuit of the study of business administration, namely financial analysis. These past three years at UB have helped me begin to understand why I am here, what led me to study Business Administration and what I need to do in order to ensure that I am equipped with the best possible intelligence as I face my future.
Finally Looking back since I returned to school maintaining a 3.8 GPA, I felt that my first semester in the accounting program has been difficult and grades have been hard to attain, but I realized that my work experience has been helpful as it allows me to return to school with organizational skills and the intense desire not to give up despite the difficulties and perform well as I continue the journey to my degree. I hope that I can get practical experience in the field though part time internships and volunteer as well.
