This career has an outlook that is slower than usual but I think I will be able to get it. I think if I keep my grades up and stay on the right track I will be able to become an Architect and Engineering Manager.
Truck driving is a much needed career to help transport goods across the United States and other local areas. Commercial Truck Driving is the career I choose to uphold. Trucking is a way of transportation needed to keep business going. Trucking has been a part of my family for years so I fell in love with trucks now I won’t to drive my own. This career has a good background, career requirements, job positions, and a good reflection.

There are many different careers available in the world, ranging over a variety of different branches, subjects, and groups. Certain careers may interest certain people while others do not even show the most remote interest in them because different aspects of the careers appeal more to some people than others. In spite of their differences, all careers are essential to the function of today’s society as we know it. I have decided to do in depth research on two specific careers, urban planners and biomedical engineers.
The career that I have chosen for my future is to become a dentist. Become a dentist is one of my biggest dreams, because is something that I always wanted to be since I was a child. There are a lot of advantages of becoming a dentist that I really love about this career. Firstly there are a lot of opportunities of getting a good job, also be able to help others with their dental care, earn good money, and have a flexible schedule.
Money and fame do not motivate my goals. Engineering in all forms is a field of innovation and invention. Aspirations of any great engineer should be to introduce to the world a new idea, product, or service that will make people happier and the environment safer. Success in these challenges is a reward greater than any dollar amount or public recognition. Engineers bring societies to new levels of civilization through their advancements in technology and discovery. The challenge to provide people with ever-increasing standards while at the same time feeding the population with ideas of what could be attracts my imagination, intelligence, and curiosity far more than any other career option. The engineering field embraces these challenges.
I am currently participating in student government, serving as Class Secretary and have been inducted into the National Honors Society.
My top five core values are Security, Making Money, Doing Work I Like, Working Environment, and Helping Other People. What this means is that I want a job that pays well and I know I will not lose unless I terribly mess up a project. I would also like to have a career in which I enjoy what I do, which would be working with math, numbers, and at times with people. I would also like to be able to help others to maintain a clean and productive working environment. A Civil Engineer’s career path would allow me to have a job that pays well with an average starting salary around $55,000. By making roads, bridges, or whatever it is that I am designing I would think of that as helping people by making safer designs for the roads and bridges that they use. Also, I have previously job shadowed at a Civil Engineering company called American StructurePoint and everyone there was very kind and helpful and it seemed like a great working environment. Furthermore, if I were to graduate from Purdue with a degree in this field, I would not have much trouble finding a job thanks to Purdue’s reputation. However, this could also pose a threat because there are so many applicants for these jobs that I could lose my job to someone who appears more qualified than my future self. This would break my number one value in Security which would be difficult to live with. However, I think that I would still be able to find other work even with this degree because so much comes with it. Just like I learned from Mr. Ayers, he graduated with a degree in Civil and he no longer does any design because his degree allowed him to take on a management position
All together the career of becoming an interior designer is a career that I could see myself pursuing because it has many interest that I would like to explore and also it is a career that I see as a great beginning for the future of my adult life into becoming a more better and skilled designer whether it’s an interior designer or fashion designer or graphic designer.
All college students should partake in career exploration project because it gives structure and direction. The result from an assessment identifies and prioritizes which careers will best suit an individual person or student. It does not necessarily mean they have to pick that particular job or career; it gives them more chooses to choose from. Career exploration is a life long journey that is emotionally, physically and mentally stress full. I say lifelong because as time goes on so does an individual’s views, abilities and skills. Career exploration is very helpful to a career, because it improves a person's ability to become informed of their interests, skills, values, abilities, aptitudes, weaknesses and strengths It helps in the guidance of career matters across the nation, job influence, growth, work hours opportunities to name a few. An individual needs to remember that when doing this career exploration project to keep in mind that money is only a temporary fix. In the beginning it may bring you joy and happiness but as time goes on it will not keep up personal enjoyment i...
Architecture offers many opportunities for advancement which is vital in staying motivated to produce better and better work. According to Cary Sweat, “Fresh out school as a new graduate, you can expect to make roughly $30,000 to $35,000 a year. As you move up, middle management in a firm will usually offer around $80,000 a year. Next you have your office managers, these people usually make easily over $150,000 a year. Then you have the Frank Gary’s of the world, who make millions a year. However, he is one of the superstars of the architectural world”. With the opportunities to advance based on my individual ability, I will definitely be motivated to better myself in my work. This is very important to me, because it should keep me from growing bored or frustrated with little pay and the same responsibilities. This is another reason I want to be an Architect. I will always have something to work towards. Along with money being a plus side to Architecture, having hands on experience during my education in the field is also an important part of choosing this
Architectural engineering is a challenging yet rewarding career. Architectural engineers design buildings that not only look appealing, but also suit the needs of people and ensure the safety of those people that occupy them. The four to five years spent getting an architectural engineering degree is well worth it because it opens up opportunities. The opportunities are endless in the field of architectural engineering.
The career the I'm interest me the most is Civil Engineering. Civil engineering is designing and overseeing construction and maintenance of building structures and facilities. May work on roads, railroads, airports, bridges, harbors, channels, dams, irrigation projects, pipelines, power plants, water and sewage systems, or waste disposal units. May be architectural, structural, traffic, ocean, geo-technical or other kind of engineer. I chose this career because I would see my mom's side of the family they all are engineers and I really like what they do I like to design. Maintain and that’s something I would really enjoy doing as a career not a job.
I know I will probably need to take advanced math and science classes. I am a more hands on type of person and it easier for me to understand. I like fixing things and working with my hands. This career interests me because when I was younger, I used to always try and fix things. Sometimes, my dad would start to fix his car and I would go out and try to help him because it was fun learning how the car worked and how he would fix it. The skills that I am already good at are math and science, which, are highly required when trying to become and engineer.
As a kid, I always liked to build and construct whatever my mind came up with. For example, I like to build with LEGOs; following the instructions step-by-step until the project was complete. I loved it. As I moved through middle school, and even into high school, I wondered if construction, or constructing things, could be pursued as a job. Especially since my advancements and achievements in math and science subjects in school, engineering in general sounded like the right job for me. That’s how I found civil engineering as a career option. The job of a civil engineer fascinated me, and I could see myself working on a large-scaled building or project for the rest of my life.
Throughout my lifetime, I have never had to think very much about the working world and everything that went with it. All through high school I took classes I liked or thought would be interesting to me, but never thought that all of those classes were preparing me for what was to come. Before I knew it, it was time to go to college. The four years of high school had flown by and now it was time to choose a major for college. I had never given much thought as to what I wanted to do for the rest of my life. The only real occupations that I had really gotten to experience were teaching, the jobs that my parents had, and others such as doctors, dentist, most of the occupations that everyone sees while they are growing up. When I finally decided on my major, I chose engineering, but I didn’t know if I would like it or not. The only prior knowledge I had about it was the fact that my grandfather was an electrical and chemical engineer, and that my parents and teachers said that I would be good at engineering. Recently I have been interested in civil engineering, but what does one do with such a degree? What opportunities are available to a person with a degree in civil engineering on the job market? The broad curriculum that covers many different fields of engineering make civil engineering a major that allows a person to work in nearly any field they wish.
