However, 97% of students have a GPA of 3.75 or higher. The application process, however, is much more strenuous and drawn out. Applicants must send in their official transcript, school report including counselor recommendation, mid-year report, two teacher evaluations, and essays (“Freshman Application Instructions”). The school report is meant to set student achievements in context, allowing Stanford to understand the difficulty of the classes that students completed. They ask for teacher evaluations to receive a view of the student that is unlike the counselor letter and the student essays. It allows the admissions staff to understand the applicant in new ways (“Teacher Evaluations”). There are four essays an applicant to Stanford must write; one common application essay that is between 250 and 650 words and the Stanford short essays. These essays have a 250 word limit and the applicant must write three, each to a different topic. All of the essays are meant to give an applicant a personality to the admissions staff (“Essays”). Along with all the above criteria, the applicant must also submit a $90 application fee that cannot be refunded. The admissions office at Stanford prefers that all application information be submitted online via The Common Application, but they will accept paper versions of the above if the applicant is unable to use that method (“Freshman Application

Since my first visit at the Air Force Academy as a young boy, I instantly realized this is where I want to go. Ironically, I never why I wanted to go, was it my parents will or the expectations of others and myself? As I started to mature and grow, I learned more about the academy and what it really meant to become a cadet. The opportunity to have a world class education pushed me to pursue acceptance to the Academy. Going to the Summer Seminar will give me a chance to explore many aspects of cadet life to further enrich my interest in the Academy.
Since BSC is Test Optional, I believe that there should not be a test score requirement. I believe the minimum GPA to apply should be a 2.5. I believe a separated essay and interview should be required for this scholarship. A scholarship committee should produce possible scholarship questions. The deadline shall be February 1st.
Graduating from high school is a proud moment in every student’s life. They must prepare what comes next for them whether it’s to get a job, start a career, or pursue continuing education. My Senior year in High School has officially begun, only one more year at Corona High. I know that Senior year is supposed to be fun, but I believe every year is an opportunity to improve. I have already set my goals for this school year. I believe I can achieve a GPA of 4.0 or above. However, there are some personal goals that I need to complete first. I need to stop my terrible habit of procrastinating. Another goal of mine is to pass my AP tests so I can earn college credit. I also want to learn new things, so I started to learn the basics of Coding, now I need to finish this course. These are some things I look to accomplish this year.
The Conceptual Framework created for the SUNY Cortland teacher candidates is important for many reasons. It was important for the campus to create a “College-wide shared vision for teacher education” (CF 3) as they prepared for their NCATE accreditation. The college wanted to make sure that the framework formed a true representation of their program goals, identity, and beliefs. This conceptual framework is important for the individual candidate because it is used to guide, and provide “a sound foundation for assessment”(CF 7). As stated on page 11 of the framework, “SUNY Cortland is dedicated to developing candidates’ knowledge, integrity, professional standards and commitment to their future students and school community”. This is very important as every piece of the statement can go hand-in-hand with the NAEYC Standards. The Conceptual Framework is also important for candidates as it sets to build three key components in each individual. These components are personal responsibility, social justice, and global understanding. What is also unique about the Conceptual Framework is that it is seen as a “living document”, meaning that it has the ability to be changed whenever change is needed, and whenever we uncover new discoveries of early childhood development. My intention in writing this paper is to gain a better understanding of what is expected from me as a candidate in a SUNY Cortland education program. I hope that I will be able to take the information that I learn from the Conceptual Framework and use it in my future teaching.
I must also acknowledge my role in my transcript’s substandard showing. As my SAT and ACT scores indicate, I have the potential to achieve success in any field chosen. However, I have procrastinated and failed to apply myself to my studies. This year I have made and earnest effort to improve my work ethic. My grade point average is rising and my study habits are improving. I know that I can continue with this improvement.
The total student enrollment, as of 2013, was 7,912 students, with 5,264 undergraduate applicants and 2,648 graduate applicants. For students who needed financial aid, about 60% of the students, they were awarded an average financial support of $41,450 out of the $58,965 that is the original tuition fee. This money is basically enough to cover exactly the school’s tuition fee, so that the student would only have to pay for room charge, board rate, and extra miscellaneous fees. All in all, Princeton University does its best to help aid students with the ability and potential without the means of their
There so much to look into when it come to the cost of the school. Room and board, books, orientation fees, and student fees, those are expensive. It is more expensive for freshmen because the students would like to go to a university and to be able to stay on campus. There are some schools that try to make it affordable for students.
