With students spending so much of their time in school they have missed out on the many opportunities that life has to offer. The change of switching to ten hour days, four days a week provides benefits not only for those who work in businesses but also to students. So much time throughout the school year is wasted with an unnecessary amount of school and work. It's time that students are provided with another day to experience the good things in life rather than the stressful.This change to the system would give students the opportunities to spend more time with family and loved ones, give their minds a break so they are ready to learn when returning back to school, and more time to experience the joys in life. One benefit to a four day work week with be having more time to see and spend time with family. During the school year, valuable time that could be spent engaging with family members and loved ones is spent on endless work. Coming from a student, school five days a week is very overwhelming, we have so little time to make treasured memories with our families. Having an extra day would improve family relationships and ties. This change has the potential to improve family life everywhere. …show more content…

Other students and myself have realized that the reason we are so unenthusiastic about school is because we don't have enough time for our minds to relax and recover from the previous school week. With an extra day students could complete the tasks to help their stress levels decrease and come back with a ready mind. With this system students might be more enthusiastic and motivated to work hard and keep up with their studies. The results could improve grade levels and test scores
