Do you like waking up early for school 5 days a week to only sleep twice a week? People have been going to school 5 days a week since the 20th century. Instead of going to school for 5 days, we should go to school 4 days a week. Teachers, Students, Janitors, Cafeteria workers, Principals, secretaries, nurses, and guidance counselors all need a break. Critics say going to school 5 days a week is better for the students; however, students' mental health is better, their attendance is better, and older students can work to get real life experience. The first reason he should have a 4 day school week is the students have better mental health going to school 4 days a week instead of 5. In conclusion, students' mental health is the first reason students should go to school 4 days a week instead of 5 because not only learning is important, but mental health is. Not only is student mental health important, but their attendance is also very important. In an article on the Four-day school week, NCSL said ”some studies have shown that student attendance improves under a four-day school week". This means if students attendance is better going 4 days a week then they don’t have to do make-up work missing a day. This matters because even if you do miss a day of school during the 4-day school week you still have an extra long weekend to make up.In conclusion, attendance is another good reason to go only 4 days as long with the students mental health.
