Title A four-day school week is beneficial to all community members, including parents, students, and school personnel. There have been improvements in studies, a free day for students to spend time with their families, pursue hobbies, do chores, and a designated day for student athletes to not miss any class time if they’re traveling somewhere for a game. This benefits the parents majorly, more family time is provided with their kids. Could also go out of town, out of state without having to stress about having school on Friday. It also benefits the students, because it’s a day off, and they can travel anywhere for an extra day, and also not miss school as well. It also benefits the mayor of the town as well because when the students are not at school they are not causing any trouble, therefore it’s a win-win situation. Last but not least, teachers also get a much deserved break, instead of having another long day. Despite all of the good reasons for a four-day school week, there are some cons. Some administrators do not find this idea useful anyway. "I personally don't see positives for students, parents, staff and the community," chairwoman Joanne Hurley said.
