Reflection essay Fundraising for a food bank requires a combination of skills in several different areas. Some new knowledge that I learned while doing this fundraiser is really understanding the cause and why I'm doing it. Acquiring knowledge about the mission and the goals of the food bank is crucial. Really understanding the community and their specific needs and challenges that they face is also very important. Another thing I learned is that communication skills are essential for fundraising a food bank. Since most of the places we posted the link were social media, I thought maybe the QR code would do better on the school website. This project could have been improved by better networking and promotion. Building relationships with potential donors, community partners and sponsors would have helped a lot. This includes reaching out to business, community leaders, and other organizations to gain their support. My advisors have been extremely instrumental in guiding me through the process of organizing and executing a successful food bank fundraiser. They've provided valuable insights into effective fundraising strategies and helped me by offering advice on marketing strategies. Additionally, they've shared their expertise in financial planning and budgeting to help ensure that the fundraiser maximizes its impact in supporting the food bank's mission.
