My Specific three-year goal is to get a technical degree in photography and transfer to the college for creative studies were ill peruse on getting my Bachelor of Arts degree in photography. Before I begin at CCS ill work with said counselor to help validate GPA requirements for the College of Creative Studies and maintain that GPA goal by attending my classes. I enjoy taking photos and appreciating the arts. Which is why I want to expand into this kind of work field. While expanding my abilities in photography, I’ve been asked to take friend senior pictures and also my sisters cheer photos. Having a position in the National Geographic community means I was able to bring light and creativity to the magazine. My number one character value is being very open-minded. An example of how I demonstrate this is by incorporating others ideas in with mine. I enjoy putting two and two together, to create a bigger picture. This shows that I’m able and willing to lead a group with my open-minded attitude. Leaving not only my picture prints in the word, but also my
The most important value that I have is my integrity. I demonstrate honesty and trust in all my actions to establish credibility as a leader. By having this conviction behind my words and actions, those who I lead are gain buy in to the direction I take them.
A characteristic I chose was generosity. I chose this because it's super important to my mom and dads families. We lived in a community where giving is greater than keeping for ourself. My family has passed down generation's by generation to give away the first thing they ever make for the first time away to someone. Now they give away anything to people new to old or foods clothes and anything to anybody.
Since before I can remember, I have tenaciously dreamt of receiving my Bachelor of Fine Arts in New York City. Everything in my life has been geared towards achieving this goal, starting with my first photography award in the third grade. Although the thought of college can be daunting, I believe I am adequately prepared due to the education I have received and my ability to balance my responsibilities and freedoms.
...self working in a healthcare facility (hopefully a doctor’s office). In five years I plan to start working on my Bachelor of Science in Health Science Degree. In five years I would’ve gotten the experience and knowledge I need to move forward in the facility.
of my current career goals as of right now. My current goal is to become some type of mental
One of my greatest skills is being able to be compassionate towards others. By placing myself into someone else’s shoes, I find myself being able to better understand where other people are coming from. I am an extremely caring person that will go to great lengths for anyone. I can easily overlook the differences in other people, and this is what helps me get along with almost anyone that I come across. In order to lead people in a positive direction you need to be able to relate to them on a more personal level. It is much easier when people feel comfortable around their leader. I always like to lend a helping hand or even a shoulder to cry on when it is needed. My strengths include integrity, optimism, faith, innovation, and adaptability. These strengths are important to have in leadership positions. Leaders should have a firm hold on their beliefs and morals in order to have a positive impact on people. Keeping my commitments is crucial to me, because I am a woman of my word. I think this is a good trait in leadership, because people need to be able to count on the person that they look up to. Optimism is also something I value. I belie...
I’m a student at Tompkins Cortland Community College this is my first semester as a college student. I plan to go to college for four years and only be at TC3 for this one semester, then transfer to a four year school. College has grown around the world more than ever and more people are attending college more than ever. I have chosen to go to college because of the rewards after graduation. Yes it is another four years of school but by getting more education and an extended degree gives me more opportunities for better jobs and more money. The career I have chosen to study is business administration. I am hoping that it takes me to a great job managing a company or possibly being an accountant.
The quality I would rank as my best quality is my Willpower, along with Self Motivation. I have the ability even when things get tough to keep on going and motivate myself because I can see the bigger picture and know that all the studying will be worth it long term when I am able to use my abilities and skills to help other people.
Educational Goals: Education is extremely important part of my past, present, and future goals. I currently hold an Associate of Applied Science in Graphic Design Media. I have found that an A.A.S Degree does not go as far al I originally intended in the Rochester, MN area and furthering my education will be a necessity for my future career goals. Over the past 2 years I have been working on my Bachelor of Science in Business Administration at the Minnesota School of Business Rochester campus. I am currently a senior with 3 quarters left before a spring graduation. After a June graduation, I plan on taking a summer quarter break. After summer break I will either continue on at MSB for my Masters in Business Administration with a Minor in Marketing or transferring the University of Minnesota for my Masters in Adult Education. After my Masters Degree is complete I will decide at that time if I wish to continue on and achieve my Ph.D.
I would describe some of strengths as being able to define clear objectives when working in group settings whether it is in the working world or in academic settings and communicating clearly to the rest of the people in my group when I am in the lead or not. I communicate clearly to other people what I want to achieve out of working in a group, but also what I want them to achieve themselves. As a leader it is imperative that I allow other people in the group to learn and grow along with the rest of the group. I enjoy defining clear objectives when I am a leader and not a leader because it provides the rest of my peers an efficient way of working together. If the objectives are not clear and concise then the productivity of the group will
In times, we often see things, but we don't really capture what is beyond it. In some cases, there are people who are artistic and are prone to see what other's cannot visualize. Every individual has a talent which can be expressed and processed differently. Something you see can mean entirely divergent things to someone else;for example, some may see thing's that may seem simple, but in the eyes of an artist, it can be perceived with a whole new definition, dimension, and a potentially new discovery. As a photographer, my view of the world, can be skewed towards looking at everyday objects as potential art, but it wasn't always like that.
The first characteristic, a positive attitude, is important because having the ability and enjoyment of working with other people in a team is a useful skill. A sincere liking and respect for other people is a wonderful asset. Being well liked will certainly help in working in teams or any other social situation. Humor and warmth are effective in order to be a good team member. A follower who focuses on positive thoughts by filtering out negative ones is on the trail of leadership. President Dwight D. Eisenhower often said, “No pessimist ever won a battle.” People who have a positive outlook on both life and specific situations tend to achieve their goals more often. The choice and determination to maintain an event-tempered disposition come what may; hence the ability to smile in the face of adversity and make things a little brighter for everyone.
In this reflection I will be talking about two different character counts of my choice. The two pillars that I choose where caring and responsibility. The pillar caring is when you show specific emotion towards other people. Responsibility on the other hand, is when you do what your suppose to be doing, when you think before you act and consider consequences, and other similar things to these.
The quality I feel I possess is courage. Courage is when a person is willing to face challenges head on (lms.grantham.edu). I fulfill the characteristics of courage when it comes to facing the challenge of my health in my everyday life head on and not trying to run from it. I have to keep my body strong by exercising, and taking my medicine daily in order to be healthy.
Great character will have you living a certain way. Aspects of kindness, and humility will be exhibited. Leadership is also very key. Leadership is the action of leading or guiding a group. So when you look for a man, you should want him to be a leader.
