First Hand Experience

You can think, believe and speak things to reality. That is what I believe from first hand experience. I am not writing this to tell you about studies that confirm my hypothesis. My hypothesis could be right or wrong. Whether the positive changes come from luck or you will them into existence, we would probably never know. What I can do is tell you about the tools I have used to change my life experience in hopes that it can help you with your own.

The consistency bias takes place when people follow the strong tendency to behave according to their identity, the way they define themselves. We are visual creatures, and thinking about the ultimate goal will fire the neurons in your brain that are necessary for you to do the change today that will make a difference tomorrow. When visualizing, sit down somewhere quiet, you can use music if you want to, do it for at least five minutes. Think about your goal being realized. Feel it, live it. Take time to breathe and be in the moment and play that movie in your head daily. This will help you change your perception of the goal. If you do something stupid, instead of saying to yourself "I am stupid" you could simply say "I just did something stupid for some reason, I'll try never to do that again". Check your mental dialogue. Are you assigning yourself an identity that is not constructive? The way to check is to ask yourself. "If I thought of myself as this kind of person would it advance me forward?" If it doesn't, drop it. Identities such as being disorganized, a procrastinator, or lazy will open the doors for bigger generalizations of yourself such as being a loser or a failure even if they seem harmless in the
