Field of interest: Financial Analysis
I am interested in investing and that means that I am interested in almost all "investment vehicles"; from stocks and bonds to futures and options. However, I am in certain stage of my life where I don't have high income. So I shifted my interest primarily toward options. Because of the simply reason, options in 100 shares will cost much less than actually buying 100 shares. This reason and my today's situation have "forced" me to be more interested in options. But of course options are highly complex and highly leveraged and they require more than just a basic knowledge of the stock market. I have read a lot of books on this topics, trading, value investing, technical and fundamental analysis, and I realised that I will need to have all these things in a "small pocket" if I want to success in this field. That's why I started a little bit earlier. But I would not speak about independent trader, because it would not be realistic for this assignment. So if I expect to work in a firm where I would implement this interest that I mention above, than it would be position of financial analyst. In the further text I would focus myself on the financial analysis and firms that need financial analyst (also called security and investment analyst), like banks, insurance companies, mutual and pension funds, securities firms. However I tried to be realistic, so I didn't look to much into future. I focused my self on today and possible internships in this field.
It is difficult to say how promising it is, because the demand for financial analysts rises and falls with the ever-changing stock market. However when large businesses consolidate some financial analyst positions may be eliminated. By the last expectations of the U.S. government economists, jobs for financial analysts will grow as fast as the average for all careers through 2014. More financial analysts will be needed to help businesses choose between the growing number of investment options. However I think that it is clear that with existence of markets and companies, there will always be a need for financial analyst; the people who will analyse company and present their investment potential. For example, an analyst with an investment bank might evaluate the relative attractiveness of a stock for the firm's brokers to recommend to clients. It is obvious that trend would maintain at this level, or go even higher.
Buying or selling a house or an apartment is one of the biggest decisions of a person’s life. And when selling or establishing a price for real estate, people seek out real estate agents to do the dirty work. A real estate agent has to convince a prospective homeowner that he or she is trustworthy and knowledgeable. In many ways, the agent acts as a counselor to individuals and families about to embark on a huge commitment. Real estate agents have a thorough knowledge or real estate market in their community. They
In my freshman year, I won an internship with GF Securities, one of the first, full-service investment banks in China. By participating in several IPO roadshows for NEEQ (National Equity Exchange and Quotation) Listing in Shanghai and dealing with clients’ requests for option trading, I developed a thorough overview of practical capital rising procedures as well as the function of various financial instruments. Later, I sought a more globalised experience by joining the General Electric(GE). In the process of organising the new machine launching conference, I have fully utilised the cross-communication skill that helped the manager to reconcile the needs and expectations from different retailers. In this summer, I gained an opportunity to work within the Guangdong Internet Finance Association. It provided me with a valuable insight to the emerging internet finance industry and made me think prospectively toward the future business model of financial institutions. These highly diversified internships not only enriched my ability to work independently as well as in a team, building upon the criticism and implement ideas, and but also widened my horizon that inspired me to approach the problem from different perspective and reach a more objective

The report of Robert Reich: “Why the Rich are getting Richer and the Poor, Poorer,” is an eye opener and a warning for society regarding unemployment that it will be facing and is currently facing due to a lack of technology and education. It clearly articulates that the jobs of routine producers and in-person servers have vanished totally as modern techniques have replaced them. The author has stated that the only people whose jobs are on the rise are symbol analysts. As stated in the report, symbol analysts are the real problem solvers. Their skills are highly in demand worldwide because they are the ones who first analyze the problem and then solve it.

The career I wish to pursue is that of a stockbroker. I am extremely interested in the trading of stocks and financial holdings so the career of a stockbroker just seems to fit in with my overall plan. Numbers have also always been a fascination of mine and the trends of the economy and long term financial outlooks have often interested me greatly. Stock broking is a risky business that one needs to be prepared for highs and lows if choosing to pursue. You must understand what a stockbroker truly does to even begin to follow this as a life long career.
I really don’t know to much about this career just that they can either deal with selling securities or managing personal finances or just as simple doing taxes and writing financial reports. What haunts me even more is what I don’t know about this career. Are there any aspects of it that I will just hate? Will I make enough money to support the life style I want? What are the future possibilities for career advancement? These are all questions that will weigh very heavily on my decision to become a financial advisor or to find some new career.
My thoughts on this career have definitely changed after doing research into this career. I only kind of wanted to do this job but, when I was done doing the research I really wanted to go into this career field it is bizarre or fantastic. Now that I have information from researching, I am going to be putting guidelines together for success. The next steps are for me to start taking classes in high school that will go with this career. Then, after high school, I will go straight into college to study for my major in finance, but, for now, I am embryonic or undeveloped.

Finance is a field that had always fascinated me right from my undergraduate college days. What make me interested in this particular field of study are the art of finance and the complexity of investment market which would allow me to employ my personal skills, such as analytical and communication skills, along with my personal characteristics such as dedication and compassion for what I do. As one of the most important sector in the world, I believe it would provide me with a broad range of career options.
I became an enthusiast of finance ever since I was at high school. At the political economy class, my teacher asked us: if you have a million RMB, how would you use it? She then introduced us the concept of investment, and I was intrigued specifically by the stock. For the latter two years of my high school, I have been reading books and articles regarding the stock market in the U.S. and in China. As one of the outstanding students ranked top 1% in College Entrance Exam in Hainan Province, China, I was accepted by the City University of Hong Kong with a full scholarship. With the strong interest in finance, I chose quantitative finance and risk management as my major.
Deciding what occupation to choose for a career is a difficult choice to make, however becoming a real estate broker and eventually a real estate developer has always been one of my aspirations. Real estate brokers and developers are the reason most commercial and residential estates gets introduced to the market and end up sold. Real estate brokers and sales agents help clients buy, sell, and rent properties but only brokers are licensed to manage their own real estate businesses. Real estate developers acquire property upon which they plan to develop their real estate projects and then sell it back to a buyer, whether for commercial or residential purposes. In regards to education training needed to enter this field, it is safe to say there
Becoming a financial analyst will allow me to enjoy a career in the finance field that pays well and also offers ample opportunities. The position of a financial analyst is growing very fast and so there are more opportunities for me to become a financial analyst. Being a financial analyst will not only put me in a powerful position within the organization but it will also teach me skills that I need about investing for my own financial life. Some of the qualifications for the career that I already have include a bachelor’s degree in finance, technology experience (Microsoft word, Microsoft outlook), skills such as maximization of work practices, and quality vigilance. One qualification that I need for this position is the ability to turn data into information. Since this position requires past experience and I have none, I can undergo training so that I can be at par with the job functions and requirements. Despite the fast growth of the job, though, there is stiff competition and even though I will most likely get this job with my bachelor’s degree, a master’s degree will help me stand out among my competitors and it will also be a wise investment for me since I have my eyes on a financial management position at one point in
Never have I ever climbed a mountain peak. As a child, I imagined myself conducting expeditions in deep-frozen pathways, leading amateur explorers to the top of the world, and instructing rookies in surviving harsh blizzards. Even though slightly altered, my childhood dream has been achieved. I led a team of fellow classmates, in my Strategic Management course, to the success summit of a financial competition. Over the course of a semester, I and my teammates were supposed to create and manage a company of the IT industry, in a computer-simulated environment, along with other four rival teams. I dealt with strategy and financial matters of our virtual enterprise, while my colleagues were working on marketing and manufacturing. During the four months of the exercise, I have experienced finance from various aspects: capital budgeting, through selecting favorable investment for upcoming quarters; debt management, by assessing the necessary amount and efficiency of loans; profitability analysis and dividend policy, which had been used to compile the company’s general performance index. Working in a multinational team, which included an American, a Norwegian and a Moldovan, strengthen my negotiations skills, as well as flexibility and cooperation. But above all, this experience intensified my passion for finance. Of course, a pleasant bonus was the fact that, in the end, our company’s financial performance was six times the performance of second-best team.
