This task should be fun and interesting for the students. It is my hope that this activity proves to be successful for my students and helps them to understand the necessary learning objectives set forth.
I consider my care staff to be my patient care coordinators, treatment coordinators, and assistants. Doctor’s and Hygienists also need to be meet with to understand their philosophy and what I can do as a Manager to make there day run as smooth as possible. As a leader the staff needs to understand my philosophy, their expectations of other and what I would expect of them short and long term. Further 1:1 meetings in the following 30 days would be set up to further address after observation is completed.
The medical model was developed for the practice of medicine, many of its characteristics are being used in different health disciplines (Kielhofner, 2009, p. 235). Including the Occupational therapy profession. As a client-centered profession, it is vital to learn all you can about your clients. However, before an individual becomes a client to an OT. He/ she was a patient. As the word client and patient are used interchangeably, it is important to know the differences between the words. It is apparent when talking about health and illness the term patient always chosen. As these individuals are seeking for professional medical treatment due to their diseases.
Healthcare professionals in the medical office should be friendly and open. Patients entering the medical office should be greeted immediately with a smile and having a gentle touch also let the patient know you care. “Healthcare professionals in a medical office are held to a higher standard than most professions because they are dealing with the dignity of patients and the ability to be healed” (Wolff). Educating the staff to be professional in the medical office represents the office as being excellent in patient care. Patient-centered care success is required by the whole office which is treatment and patient experience, from the time they enter the office until they leave.
I will split this essay into two parts. Firstly, I will describe to the reader the product of my research, including the main ethnography itself and also the way in which I arrived at the conclusions I did. Secondly, I will critically analyse the process I undertook to gain my data. This will include reflecting on dilemmas such as ethics, choice of field site and other issues that I encountered whilst carrying out my research.
Zoe is a very great attentive student. She is a student whoholds a lot of valuable pronciples from her Haitian-Cuabn culture. The monment she enters the building she greets people with respect. She always says good morning and refers to all staff and her peers by their name. Zoe always comes to school in a positive attitude. I have yet to see her upset which allows me to believe she is good in toning her emotions or personal life outside of school grounds. Outside of school she is always busy between homework, family and tutoring at the SCO Family Services program in Downtown, Brooklyn. By the end of her long day she is exhausted but yet a smile is always on her face giving no sinces of anger or worries.if I was to describe Zoe’s emotional tone or color it would be lavender. She is calm, soothing to me around but ye keps firm.she had a bright future a head of her. Between the classes I have observed her in she is always energetic, cheerful and strong minded. She is excited in theatre class showing off her acting skills and in Spanish class she is attentive when doing her Spanish class work.
She would express to the client that they were a few minutes behind and would be getting them in shortly when a room became available. She was honest and upfront which created an open environment. The TA also showed the quality of reliability. She would perform duties as delegated without hesitation, her team could count on her. Electrotherapy was needing to be set up, the
My earlier understanding of the OT profession wasn’t exactly clear. I hadn’t heard many people talk about it and I never knew anyone who was an OT until recently. When comparing physical therapy and occupational therapy, physical therapy seems to be the more popular profession. Members of my family have had physical therapy and I assumed occupational therapy was mostly the same or close to it. After shadowing two out-patient clinics and taking a class at U of M- Flint about different jobs, I quickly realized that OT was quite different. Obviously, I still don’t know everything OT and OTAs do, but I am eager to learn more about this profession.
My whole world would be completely different if it was not for the people in my life. My loved ones are one of the most important aspect in my life and is something that I should never be take for granted. Without my them, I couldn’t imagine what I would do. For me personally, a family is a group of people who love and support each other through the good and bad times.
1. How were you first introduced to CS? How have you continued to develop your technical skills and seek additional exposure to the field? - I would say my first introduction to CS was in high school. I have always loved messing with computer ever since I was little.

I have been able to observe and learn from my collaborative teacher and paraprofessional on how to manage a classroom and keep a positive learning environment.
We must have the correct mind-set. We believe our students can learn; have high expectations; are willing to give extra help; find ways to make
My cooperating teacher has been employed in the field of education for 19 plus years. She has been in her current position as a Pre-Kindergarten teacher at the Lighthouse Learning Center for 12 years. Observing a teacher who has so many years of experience in the classroom is very beneficial. She shared with me this week her teaching philosophy that has evolved from her many years in the classroom. The components of her philosophy include a focus on people, strategies, and tools.
Although this has been shortly covered in a previous essay, I thought it necessary to explain this experience further: my time as a research assistant at Clemson’s DICE (Data Intensive Computing Environments) lab. This experience has been one of the biggest in my life and quite possibly the one singular experience that concretes my decision to go into computers. Starting in April of 2016 with an offhand question about if I wanted to work on something with my stepdad on computers during the summer, I practically jumped at the chance. After the end of the school year, things began to pick up. I was invited to the lab that my stepdad works in (DICE Lab) to work with him on this project, which was a great honor in and of itself.
