I feel the Core Value that resonates the most with me would be #7 - Build a Positive Team and Family Spirit. The team is the center of an organization; they set the tone and how productive an organization will operate. Through empowerment and positive encouragement, a leader is allowing the team the ability to have successes and learns; successes are easy whereas the learns is where the individual finds growth opportunities. This all starts with the leader through authentic leadership. When a leader embraces change, creates a fun and a little weirdness, are open-minded, build open and honest relationships and communication with their team, are passionate, determined, and humble they empower their team, and without even trying the other Core
Values are not only exhibited, they become second nature. Empowered teams embrace and drive change, their adventurous, creative, and open-minded, they naturally pursue growth and learning, they build authentic open and honest relationships through communication with their leaders and peers, they search for ways to do more with less, and they are passionate and determined in all they do because they realize they are a part of something amazing. This is where my passion is; empowering high performing teams. Because at the end of the day it’s the team that makes or breaks an organization, and if they have autonomy in their working environment they develop a pride and passion within themselves that nothing can hinder.
In this life it is essential to base your work around your beliefs and to feel passionate about what you do. Then spreading your passion for your work onto others is how you grow as an individual and as a company. Which is what I felt after reading the #1 core value.

This journal entry will discuss and provide examples of core values of a group leader and core knowledge of a group leader. In addition, the references that were used for this assignment include information from Chapter 3 in the textbook and the transcript and video tools provided for completing this assignment. Furthermore, the examples I provided may not necessarily fit exactly, however, to some degree they do and do not. However, I tried to find some examples that represent who I am and I believe that when reflecting upon these examples they do show a great reflection of many things that do fit.
The next core value I uphold is being honest in the workplace. I speak in a direct matter and I am quick to the point. I do not like to receive fluff from other people. If the doctor doesn’t know what is going, I let them know it is ok to tell me you have no idea. Honesty is very important as it helps me to tell the truth no matter what I am doing.
