1) What inspired you to want to work in the music industry?

I have been involved with music for a long time as a DJ then pirate radio operator, once I gave up pirate radio I got into music production as this seemed a natural progression from being a DJ. It got to a stage where I wanted to take my music more seriously so applied to go back into full time education to do a degree as I was working as an IT account manager, I wanted to take me music more seriously and get some kind of formal qualification to try and help me forge a new career. There are many different job roles in the music industry and I felt by doing a FDA degree and now my doing a BA Honours at Westminster University this would help me in my quest. I have transferable skills from sales and account management and felt I had a lot to offer working in an environment I love. I have also just qualified to become a level 3 City & Guilds teacher after I done the Music Leader Course at CM Sounds and wanted to give something back. …show more content…

Matt asked me if I was interested in interning for him as he was impressed by the fact that I had experience from my own music activities over the years with some success as an artist and running my own digital label, however what really impressed him was the fact that I was doing it at academic level and he felt I had the right qualities to become a very good manager. Also by doing the Music Leader course at CM this has opened up potential teaching opportunities and I have run my own private 1-2-1 Ableton tuition lessons. People trusted me due to my qualifications as Im a qualified level 3 teacher and I received a distinction for my music production for my FDA. I have also been shadowing at CM Sounds recently which I really enjoy and they're such a great bunch of people over there. I love that
