The seven dimensions of wellness include: emotional, mental,spiritual,physical, environmental, occupational and social. All of these dimension contribute to the characteristics we have throughout our lives and they affect our everyday decisions. I will be talking about “where I have been”, “Where I am”, and “Where I want to be” in my life to becoming a healthy individual. I have been through many situations in my life that have affected all seven of the demensions. One of the biggest events in my past was my two knee surgeries that I received in 6th and 7th grade. Due to the 5 college classes I have as a junior in highschool, I have realised I get stressed out very easy. This often leads to anger and frustration which makes it harder to complete tasks, but since I have taken this class I have found ways to cope with my stress using mostly breathing techniques gone over in the course. As I get older I have started to realise more and more about what my core values are and making sure to add more and more faith in my life. My biggest core values now are honesty, respect, motivation, and loyalty. These core values in my opinion make a very well rounded person. I believe that with these values and if I continue to have strong christian faith, I can be a better person and have a stronger spiritual wellness. I am currently involved in volunteer work, sports teams, and school clubs which all contribute to my environmental wellness. Although, if I could improve one of these it would be volunteer work in my community. My environment at home is a very stable and enjoyable place, where I can be content from everything else. I have strong relationships with my family members and my friends, which creates a sense of stability in my social wellness. My family is very supportive with my decision throughout school and my sports. My parents also provide just the right amount of guidance for me to become a better individual, which contributes

This semester I am taking five classes and I feel really stress because all my classes are towards my major. Each class require group projects so every week I would have a presentation from one of the classes and sometimes couple assignments are due all at once. I can relate this to listen carefully strategies because when I get stress I like to just calm down and think that I am almost done with school.
The first of the six dimensions is physical wellness, which is your body’s overall wellness. This includes the absence of illness and disease and your body’s fitness level. You have to make good, healthy choices to be physically well. Eating healthy, exercising, and seeing a doctor on a regular basis for check-ups are all conducive to physical wellness. Some good examples of people who have achieved physical wellness are; Lance Armstrong and the Venus and Serena Williams.
If one wants to live an enjoyable, fulfilling life they must know what it truly means to be well. Living a wellness lifestyle means incorporating all aspects of what it takes to flourish as a human being. It goes beyond the health of the physical body and incorporates the important social, emotional, and spiritual factors that play a part in every person’s life in one way or another. Knowing how to act correctly, control our feelings, channel our frustrations, and improve in each dimension of wellness will lead to a satisfactory life. Spiritual, physical, emotional, nutritional, and social wellness define the biggest components of life and thriving in them is vital.
