Exercising can help with many different areas of a person’s life. Not only does it help with reducing the risk of high blood pressure, arthritis and diabetes, it has a positive impact on depression and anxiety as well. It can help by releasing neurotransmitters, endocannabinoids and endorphins which is the feel good brain chemicals. By exercising people gain confidence in themselves and are able to relieve the worry stress that may happen in any given day (Mayo Clinic Staff, 2014).
Thirty minutes of exercise three to five times per week can improve a person’s overall outlook on life and decrease symptoms of depression (Mayo Clinic Staff, 2014).

Most felt that they had a great improvement with their moods and self-esteem. While some people have been working out for a while and felt that it helped with keeping them healthy, others just enjoyed the thrill of working out. Different people had different workout routines that they had completed. People worked out at different times of the day and for different lengths of time as well.
There are many different exercises a person can do to help reduce one’s depression or anxiety levels. The exercises can be either swimming, cycling, jogging, gardening, dancing,or walking. By doing this it helps to improve a person’s mood by increasing the blood circulation throughout the brain, which has an influence on how the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal axis (HPA) works, which helps to help with stress levels (Madaan & Petty, 2006).
Not only does exercising help reduce anxiety and depression, it also can help with different health problems by lowering the risk. Heart disease and stroke are the two most leading causes in death of people that live in the United States. If a person who has these health risks, following a healthy diet and by completing some sort of exercising at least 150 minutes a week will help to reduce further compilations from these diseases (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, …show more content…

Family therapy helps family members to have better communication skills. They also help to resolve conflicts and find better ideas in solving different problems. Psychodynamic therapy works by helping people to develop better ideas in dealing with their unconscious emotions and to improve motivations to have positive effects on their thoughts and actions. Art therapy is a form of using dance, music and drawing to help a person express emotions and to help promote healing from within.
