This model aligns the professional practice with a strategic direction promoting collaboration and enhance communication between professionals and management leaders.
The CQI model is the bridge from the professional model to the transitional model. This model provides the skills needed to make the transition. The characteristics of this model are collective responsibility, managerial leadership, accountability, participation, performance and process expectations, flexible planning, benchmarking, concurrent performance appraisal and continuous improvement. The Continuous Quality Improvement model helps healthcare organizations improve efficacy, healthcare quality and patient outcomes.

The transformational model is applicable to any healthcare organization. According to
Donadio, G. (2005). “The concepts can be “customized” to a specific organization or system based on that organization’s vision, values, goals, and intended outcomes. This model is not a
“magic bullet.” It is a framework for identifying and balancing competing priorities, developing leaders and staff, and maintaining an unerring focus on the organization’s values and goals.”

Healthcare recipients, professionals and management have been benefited from this model that enables the organization to continue to deliver quality healthcare to the community. In conclusion table 10-1 on page 292 list the three types of models. These models provide the fundamentals to CQI. Even though, I am not employed, I find myself comparing and contrasting what the kind of leadership we have in our household. I found that within our household we use a mixture of these models. I also performed a research and found a website which identified itself as using the transformational model. This model is very important since it provides the foundation to the continuous quality improvement.

The NHS change model has been selected for this quality improvement. The NHS change model consists of eight dimensions, which are described as a useful tool to enhance change. This model has been identified as being effective in health care organisations, encouraging the use of teamwork to implement systematic improvements.
Carol finishes her story with a plea for a better communication among the different healthcare providers and the system in general. Healthcare is one of the most dynamic industries in our great nation. To truly understand just how dynamic the industry is, one needs to understand that healthcare in and of itself is a living, breathing industry that is ever changing and conforming to meet the ideals set forth from a broad group of stakeholders.
