The Obstacles
No one wants to fail in life. Each and every person only wants the best for themselves. Yet at times there is not a change an individual could have been done to change the outcome of their failure. The feeling of failure is an emotion everyone feels. Occasionally after a failure people become intimidated to get up and try again. A British political Winston Churchill believes “success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts.” That quote was right after he was voted out of office in the summer of 1945 after World War II. His strength to keep going even after that big of a letdown is an example of never giving up. The ability to get up is the hardest part to achieve, what discourages people

No never let a failure get the best of you. When you fail you will just get up and once again give it your all. To be able to not get discouraged and still want to give it your one hundred and fifty perfect effort. Billionaire Richard Branson said to a blog, “the more you're actively and practically engaged, the more successful you will feel.” He is stating that you need to just focus on what you are doing and only what you are doing and you yourself will feel successful. You need to drink, blink, and breath what you're doing. Another example is inventor Thomas Edison, “Success is one percent inspiration, ninety-nine percent perspiration.” To succeed is to have the right mindset. To try hard in what you are about to do. People need to just focus on their doings and they will become successful. Success is to take little steps until you reach the top and become …show more content…
Individuals are not perfect at all tasks in life. People fail and keep trying and even though they try and try they are not getting any better. We as humans have our strengths and weaknesses and that's okay. According to Alain de Botton in his TED talk he says “Here's an insight that I've had about success: You can't be successful at everything. We hear a lot of talk about work-life balance. Nonsense. You can't have it all. You can't. So any vision of success has to admit what it's losing out on, where the element of loss is. And I think any wise life will accept, as I say, that there is going to be an element where we're not succeeding.” Alain believe that we as individual cannot be good at it all. We cannot have it all. At times people need to accept that we have frailty and we just need to give it our all even if it isn't an A+. In addition, legendary basketball coach John Wooden believes in trying your best even if it's not the greatest yet it was the best to your ability. “Success is peace of mind, which is a direct result of self-satisfaction in knowing you did your best to become the best you are capable of being.” Never compare yourself to another individual. For example, if you didn't do so good on a test but your friend got a B+. Yet you studied to 11p.m. at night and learned everything to your ability yet you barely passed with a C-. Acknowledge that you did your best to your ability and even if you
What exactly is failure? It is, according to the dictionary, “Lack of success.” Many people say that “failure isn’t the falling down, but the staying down.” But who are we to say? Lack of hope, the thought that death and failure are one and the same, and a pessimistic outlook on life can cause someone to fail, but thankfully not everyone falls victim to these. Failure is always controversial, because people view things and events differently. As Elaine Maxewell once said, “My will shall shape the future. Whether I fail or succeed shall be no man's doing but my own. I am the force; I can clear any obstacle before me or I can be lost in the maze. My choice; my responsibility; win or lose, only I hold the key to my destiny.”
Success and failure seem to be pretty distinct opposites, but many times the differences between success and failure aren’t as obvious as we may think them to be. Sometimes a failure can be turned into a success if you are willing to look back at them, and are open to learning from them. Many times, one’s attitude toward a failure can determine whether or not anything is learned from it. Those who remain upbeat and positive after a failure may be able to get something out of it, but those who just don’t think about it and ignore it won’t get anything from it.
And if it is true that the lessons we take from failure can be fundamental to later success then I am right. This is where my path to success really begins. It is never late to start again. Small things that aren’t so small can have a big repercussion in someone's life. We as human beings need to learn how to be more loving, respectful and compassionate. I am so proud to be who I am today because of this past experiences. I believe almost everybody has had a time in their lives in which they failed, nobody is perfect. Failure indeed can be fundamental to later success, but the expectations of success are not what people think, at least for me, but I certainly know I'm not
As children, we are naturally, curious, eager and willing to try new things. When they don’t work out we are quick to move on and try something else. We don’t waste time or start worrying about what didn’t work, we simply move on to trying something else. As we grow older we learn that failure is unacceptable and we always need to be on our feet and improving ourselves all the time so we can decrease the chances of failure. I believe that in this world everyone is hungry for success and no one wants to fail in something they would love to accomplish one day. Desire for success is like a “drug” in this generation, without success people look down upon you and will believe that you’re not worth their time without giving you a chance. The phrase
Failure can cause a torrent of mixed emotions and thoughts. One can begin to doubt their motives for even attempting to succeed at a certain task. Some people may choose to give up after failure, but there are a select few who rise up to the occasion and move forward to try and succeed no matter how many tries it takes. By overcoming those difficult moments in life, it gives a person a sense of accomplishment and pride and that alone is a beautiful thing.
How many times have you failed in your life? I bet it’s a lot. Have you ever let that bring you down and stop you from trying? Samuel McChord Crothers once said, “Try as hard as we may for perfection, the net result of our labors is an amazing variety of imperfectness. We are surprised at our own versatility in being able to fail in so many different ways.” We try as hard as we can to be perfect, but we never are, and never will be. We fail so many times, and in so many different ways. We have to grow and learn from our imperfections. This quote from Samuel McChord Crothers can be connected to my life, literature, and in the world and history around us.
“Forget your past, your customs, your ideals. Select a goal and pursue it with all your might. You will experience a bad time but sooner or later you will achieve your goal. A bit of advice for you: do not take a moment’s rest.” I like this specific phrase, because it encourages me to pursue my dreams even if I encounter failure. In my opinion, in the past when poor people from a different place immigrate starting a new life. They needed sense of motivation and they encounter different situation where they wanted to give up and some of them persisted.
Failure is apart of life, it can make or break a person. When a person experiences a type of failure it is now up to them to see how they respond. They can choose the high road, and become a stronger person for it. Then they can choose the low road, the easy way out. The easy way out is never a good choice. It can lead only to destruction. The high road is the right choice to take when responding to failure. It will lead down a path of success. Jessica Lahey’s article, “When Success Leads to Failure” is an article that shows how kids are experiencing failure. Lahey says that, “these kids have a fear for failure, and that they have given up natural loves for learning. They are scared of not being successful”(Lahey). The truth is life is hard there will be failure. There is nothing in this world that comes easy to anyone.
A huge weakness in some people is the fear of failure. Failure seen as weakness is wrong. Failure should be seen as the stepping stones to success. As Thomas Edison pronounced says “Our greatest weakness lies in giving up. The most certain way to succeed is always to try just one more time.” What this means is that in order to succeed you will fail. To become a master in your craft you must have the ability to accept that you will fail on your journey to establish skills in your area of expertise. The only way to overcome this issue is to either try again, or give up. You can easily give up, but it is your self-discipline that will enable you to try again, and again until finally you succeed, no matter how big or small the goal.
Everyone in life experiences failure. It can affect people positively or negatively and that all depends on how they react to the experience. If one lets their failure overcome their dreams, it will lead them in the wrong path. But if one views their failures as a motive to succeed and grow, then they are on their way to becoming successful. For me, I let my failures in life help build onto my character and define the person I am today. My childhood injury is my example as I let this moment affect the outcome of my dreams I had then.
When I ran to my father, wallowing in my failure, he explained that failure is a part of life and is something you build upon. Failure is not the end of the world; instead it is fuel for
Clearly failure is not something for you to fear of. Success is good but it usually make you corky and greedy, where failure give you self-realization and self-examination. So do not be afraid of failure, just put everything you have in to what you doing. Sometime you win sometime you learn. Because if you are so afraid of failure and won’t learn from it, you can literally fail your way to success. Like a wise man said: “Even a broken clock is right twice a
Munir Daair in the Ted Talk also talks about what role failure has when reaching your goals, "The drive to succeed despite failures is what distinguishes the ambitious from the ordinary"(5:36-5:43). What to take from what Manir is saying, is that you must get rid of the thought of failures as a motive to take opportunities and reach your goals. Use that fear of failure as a way to guide you but only as that. Don't think of it as a fear or a reminder of a failure, think of it as a motivator to success. In The Hot Zone, a nurse had showed an example of when fear of failure causes her to miss opportunities, "Nurse Mayinga had been caring for Sister M.E. when the nun had died in the bloodstained room.
It doesn’t matter if they are failing or success, the only thing matter is how hard people are trying during the process. The value of success will worth and have respect after they walk through failure. It’s important on how people stand up after they failed, not how they failed, because everyone will fail at least one time on their life. A good example of people who fail but they stand up and learn from it is people who play sport. At first time of playing, no one will good at sport. Sometime they make a common mistake when they start play but if they learn from it, they won’t make that same mistake again during the game. To have that success they have to make mistake and fail during the practice so they can learn from it and practice to overcome their failure. But people who never fail when they play, they may make a common mistake on the
Fear of failure, I know this phrase very well. It allows the fear to stop me doing the things that can move me towards achieving my goals. When I look back at my fears, I grasp the moment that I have been so afraid of failing that I decided against it and I lost some great once in a lifetime opportunities. Fear of failure subconsciously; hint at, I weakened my own efforts to escape the risk of a higher failure. Many of us have possibly faced this at one time in our lifetime. The fear of failing can be restraining. It can cause us to stop the forward progress in life; we are probable to miss some huge opportunities along the way. Everyone describes failure differently, since we all have diverse expectations, and wishes. However, there’s something
