Congratulations on your Eagle Scout! It takes a supportive and involved family to achieve that rank. Cole and I park cars at LSU home games and have met a few people from other troops, but so far, you are the first person we have met from Troop 65. Some adult men that I respect are Eagles and give their Boy Scout experience high praise for many life lessons. Hopefully, scouting will "balance" out Cole's life experience of being raised by women and give him practical life skills.
Your insight, words of encouragement and advice are much appreciated. You have hit on all the hot spots: listening skills, time management skills, zoning out, and working independently. I, too, think that he is a bright child, but Cole has always had less than desirable
listening skills. Over the years, with many people telling me that he must be hard of hearing, he has been tested twice by audiologists. It was also a factor for medication. I do not know if there is just so much going on in his head that he has trouble filtering it all or if he goes "deep" and tunes out the real world. The image I have is one of him sinking in a pool of water literally drowning out all the stimulation around him. Yet, he seems to thrive on stimulation. I have asked him to explain it to me, but he cannot. He has a doctor's appointment coming up in November so I will discuss all of this with her and share your valued classroom feedback. Hopefully, maturation is the overall solution. I relish your articulation and acumen, and thank you for your time and interest. Cole is fortunate to have you for his teacher.
One of my earliest memories of Grandpa begins with us driving to the Monmouth Park Racetrack. We sure did love to go to the track and root for Julie Krone or one of our other favorite jockeys. He loved challenges, and he especially loved the challenge of picking the ponies. He would read the race programs in the Asbury Park Press and usually pre-pick most of the day's favorite horses before ever leaving the house. Still, on arrival, we always bought the program and maybe a race sheet or two before entering the track grandstand. After picking up a couple of seats right around the finish line or maybe a little past it, back to figuring he'd go. As he went, grandpa would always point out the horses that had won recently or looked like they were due. "I have a feeling about this one" he'd say.
On behalf of my entire family, I want to thank all of you for your compassion and for being present here today. For those of you who don't know me, my name is Mauri-Lynne, and I'm Lionel's daughter. Dad was devoted to every one of you. We all hope that you'll share your memories of him with us, if not today then in the weeks and months to come.
Once upon a time, a 18 year old named Juan was going to work in his father’s vegetable market. Juan always goes to help out his father no matter what. Him and his dad moved to Jerusalem from a village in Jordan. His mother had passed away from a wound infection. His father didn’t have enough money for medicine, so that’s why she died. They moved so they wouldn’t struggle anymore, and so they can live a different life. Juan is a very helpful, nice, intelligent, and had a very prodigious heart . Everyone in Juan’s village liked him, but his bullies, John and Josh, just hated him. They always bullied Juan on a daily basis just because they were jealous of how Juan was loved by everyone. While Juan was helping out his dad, Juan and Josh went to his dad’s store and Josh started to say that he and Juan’s girlfriend Emily were in love and that Emily didn’t love Juan anymore. He was just ignoring them because he knew that it wasn’t true, so he continued on working.

I stand before you today to pay my last respects, and to say my final goodbyes, to my father Harry.
He had days during each he would follow direction and seem eager to learn, other days he just was not into the sessions. Sometimes, there are words in the story that are utilized more than twice, I would make them repeat the words, read them repeatedly, and even learn to spell the words, however when I gave him an activity in which the word is feature he even though he recognizes the words, but he could not pronounce it. Frequently, he forgot words that he knew before but remember words that he just learn, other times it the complete opposite. That is why certain things that we work with I make sure that they are repeated, even if he’s learning something new I make sure implemented some of the old things to keep refreshing his
I'd like to thank you all for the outpouring of support and condolences on the loss of my beautiful son Adam. My entire family appreciates it. This is my eulogy to Adam:
Eulogy for Son First, I would like to say thank you for the tremendous outpouring of love and affection from our community at last night’s viewing for John. Roger at the funeral home told us this was the largest turnout he could remember. Close to 1,000 friends—and many people who were merely touched by John’s story—waited up to four hours in the rain to pay their respects. We want you to know how very grateful and very touched we were by the response.
Eulogy for Son The Death of a Child. Not many people realize that the death of a child is NOT in accordance with God’s NORMAL scheme of things. It is not a natural. God did not mean for a child to go first. A child buries the parent.
...t them independently. This not only sets him up for immediate success in school or whatever he is focusing on, but also in the future when dealing with college or work. He will be more motivated to complete his work to the best of his ability and to work past any barriers or conflicts that arise.
Jaden Winn is performing below grade level in reading and math. He sits at the front of the classroom, directions and rules are kept short and clear for him, and we go over them/repeat them continuously until I feel he understands what is being asked of him. I think ask him to repeat to me (directions) what is being asked of him. I also use an amplification system in the classroom to heighten his awareness of what I am teaching. Jaden appears to being paying attention, but is very inattentive. He is very distractible and has to be cued constantly to stay on task to get his assignments completed. Jaden works betters and puts forth more effort in a one-on-one instructional setting. He also wears glasses and a hearing aid to support successful
Today, the most difficult day in my family’s life, we gather to say farewell to our son, brother, fiancé and friend. To those of you here and elsewhere who know Dylan you already are aware of the type of person he was and these words you will hear are already in your memory. To those who were not as fortunate, these words will give you a sense of the type of man he was and as an ideal for which we should strive. My son has been often described as a gentle soul. He was pure of heart and had great sensitivity for the world around him. He had a way with people that made them feel comfortable around him and infected others to gravitate toward him. Dylan exuded kindness and pulled generosity and altruism out from everyone he touched. He was everyone's best friend.
Before I begin I would like to thank all of you here on behalf of my mother, my brother and myself, for your efforts large and small to be here today, to help us mark my fathers passing.
Did you know the presidential election is coming up? Yeah, sadly it is. It will be sad to see President Barack Obama go and see someone else take his spot. The two candidates for this year’s race will be Hilary Clinton from the Democratic Party, and Donald Trump from the Republican Party. I personally do not like either of them, especially Trump, but unfortunately today, I will give you some reasons to support him. Even though he has a tendency to speak without thinking, he is a great business man with leadership skills who always puts Americans first and loves all races.
Running off the field, I swoop up my girl, Daisy Windsor, who was cheering for me on the sidelines. We had just won our last football game of the season against the Mare Island Marines. I started thinking what my life would've been like if I continued on with the military field after I graduated. I could've been one of those marines on the field. I shake the thought and focus on the beautiful girl in front of me in her cute little uniform. "Congrats Mr. Exeter," She smirked. I grabbed her hand and kissed the ring on her finger. "Thank you Mrs. soon-to-be Exeter." I met Daisy soon after I started college. We ran into each other, literally, on the way to class on the first day. She dropped all her books on the floor and immediately dropped down to scoop them all up.
