Recommended: My Life Story
I was born in a suburb of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and am the oldest of four children. My father’s employment required our family to move often. As a result, our family lived in Delaware, northern New Jersey, southern New Jersey, and Tulsa, Oklahoma, where I graduated high school. Our family eventually moved to Houston in 1982. Having no more than a high school diploma, I was fortunate to find employment with a large law firm that specialized in bankruptcy. Due to the poor economy at the time, our firm stayed busy with a number of high profile clients. My first position at the firm was as a night time copy person/receptionist from 5:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. every night. I worked hard and it eventually paid off when I was promoted
Well, my brother's a golfer, so we moved partly because of him. But also my mom wanted to give me a chance to have more opportunities in acting, and so we moved here so that could happen.

I was born on September 15th, 1999 in a small town called Watervliet, MI. I was the first born out of three children, and the only girl. Growing up as the oldest and the only girl in a traditional Mexican family was definitely not the easiest thing to deal with. My parents have always been strict with me, which I believe has shaped me to be a responsible woman. I have two younger brothers who are 15, and 10 years old.
As a child, I moved around most of my childhood. From the violent city of Compton, California to the upper middle class of Los Angeles, California, Then later to Elk City, Oklahoma.
I, Meisha McDaniel, was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma 19 years ago on December 27th, 1995. Growing up in Tulsa, I felt that there was no better place to reside, despite the flaws of my city. My mom, my brother (now 10 years old) and grandmother always lived next door to one another, or resided together. We were the true church going family, and I loved it. I consider myself a preacher’s kid because my Grandmother and Grandfather are forever committed and dedicated to the ministry. I spent my school years in the city, and would stay on my aunt’s farm and travel to church camp during the summer.
My mother was born in the Bronx and lived there for her childhood. After college at the age of 26 she moved to Elmwood Park, New Jersey. Months after meeting my father she then moved in with him to a small house in Nutley. In 1993, my parents bought our current house in Cedar Knolls. The main reason behind buying a house in Cedar Knolls was that it was a safer residential area with a elementary school down the road.
but I knew I had to do it. Speaking with one of my classmates, he had told me various times that they were hiring at his place of work, California Pizza Kitchen. It was the best option I had at the time and probably the quickest solution to the problem of being unemployed. It was farther, downtown la, I had never really spent much time there before. I spoke to the executive chef there and he told me that they were looking for someone to work in pizzas.
The location of my birth, where I grew up, and where I currently reside has molded me into the person that I am today. I was born in Royal Oak, Michigan and lived in Madison Heights, Michigan until I was 4 years old. My family then moved to Warren, Michigan where I have resided for 16 years. In my childhood home, we spoke English. Likewise, in my current home, we speak
Thumbs Out A girlfriend of mine once defended me to her father by saying, calmly, “Not everyone who wanders is lost.” The dad kicked me out of the house anyway. But the damage had been done. Not everyone who wanders is lost.
I’m still sitting on this wall, the brick chill cutting through my jeans. I take a swig of beer, wipe the condensation from my hand onto the dark denim, watch the smoke from my cigarette curl into the dark woods before disappearing into the sky. I am aware of the club behind me in the same way that I am aware of the seven foot drop under my dangling feet; it’s there but I’m not going to fall.
After just one year, we moved to Manchester, CT and by the time I was seven we were living in East Granby, CT- where I’ve been ever since. Despite, some of challenges that come with moving, I am grateful that I was able
He held out an arm so he could help me up. I grabbed his hand and he pulled me up. The space was so small that when he pulled me up our faces were inches away from each other. He tried to lift his hand to touch my cheek but I quickly flinch backwards. I rolled my eyes and grabbed the bag of sports equipment. I could see him smirk and narrow his eyes at me.
The darkness creeps through my curtains. Cool morning air laced with cinnamon and chocolate flow from the kitchen into my bedroom, and I can feel the seasons change as excitement for autumn wells inside me. The crisp morning mist coupled with the Ackee tree in my yard that sways in the tropical breeze wrap around me like a mother's hug, making me feel safe and loved. I love September, it's always been my favorite month.
McAllen is 4 cities away from the city I've lived practically my whole life, Donna, Texas. When I first saw my baby whom I named Guillermo Lopez Jr, i was
I was born in Spokane Washington and lived my first three years on a reservation with my mother and my father. When I was three I also started my modeling career until I was fourteen. When I was four my mother remarried and her husband she was with adopted me she was with him until I was five or six. The pieces I do remember from this time were not ones I care to speak about; they still haunt my dreams. I can tell you I was scared of him and still have a hard time speaking to him still today. When I was ten my mother moved me to Portland Oregon for a year. She then decided to move my sister and me to Southern Idaho to keep me out of trouble. She said Portland was no place for a soon to be teenager to grow up. Had she known then what she knows now I think she would have kept me in Portland. I do not remember a lot of the details of my life until I moved to the little town of Filer, located about 160 miles south of Boise Idaho.
