Tim Tebow, a football player, a Christian and a Missionary, and my role model. Tim has been playing football since 2007 and is a well known QB to football fans throughout America. He was raised in a Christian family in the Philippines. Tebow displays his faith on the field by dropping to one knee and resting his head in his hands in prayer. He is not afraid to show other people his faith, and I hope that I can have the faith that he has.
Tim Tebow, standing at 6’3 and 230 pounds, was referred to as the “strongest human who has ever played quarterback”. In 2010, he was a first round draft by the Broncos. If I were a first draft pick by one of the best football teams in America, that would be a huge honor. Out of about 1,700 players, you were picked first draft, you would have to be really good.
Tebow was raised in a Christian family in the Philippines, as his parents were American Baptist missionaries serving there. I can relate to Tim because I have to move around since my dad’s military. He’s showed me to persevere through the hard times. I have an American air base to go to, but he didn’t have any other friends that spoke his language besides his siblings.

Tim has never been afraid to show others his faith.
He invented something called “Tebowing”, where he gets down on one knee in prayer and thanks God. When I become a professional sports player, I would like to have a signature move like his and thank God for being good to me. In Matthew 28:18-20, it says, “ Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the
age.” Tebow has obviously demonstrates the power of this verse. For his eyeblack, he writes bible verses. When he scores, he prays. I would like Jesus to move through me like He moves through him. Even though people will make fun of my beliefs, I can stand up for my faith, pray for them and keep on spreading the Gospel. Although I am a Christian, I tend to not show it. I don’t tell others about Christ until I really know them. I need to show my beliefs to the public more, like Tim does. He’s not afraid of what other people think about him, even if one person accepts Christ into their heart; to Tebow, it will be worth the persecution. If I could have the faith and the trust in God that Tebow has, and be spiritually gifted in sports, I think I could have a great impact on the world.
Instructed by the NFL not to use his career to publicize his personal, religious beliefs, Tim Tebow didn't throw a fit. Instead, he became physically involved and active in his cause and community. He's been criticized time and time again, however, he has continued his efforts towards his cause. Others don't agree with him, yet he's not acting out, offending large groups, to try to get his point across. He's putting in hard work to be the change he wants to see.

“You never know how the tough times you are going through today will inspire someone else tomorrow.” (Tebow, shaken). In his book, Tim Tebow talks about the struggles he's been though and how God has helped him through it all. He lives his life always honoring God and his decisions portray being a Christian. Tim Tebow is a great role model because he's athletic, he's a good leader and mentor and most important he loves God.

Tom Brady is the New England Patriots starting quarterback, and without a doubt he is one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL. After the draft, you should see if you like your team and compare it to other teams. If one team has a player whom you might like, try to offer reasonable trades. Ask people who are knowledgeable of football to see if they think that the trade is worth it. As I mentioned before, there are 16 players on a team, but 11 players start each week, which means that there are 5 players who will be on your bench each week. So, you have to be meticulous about whom you are going to start. Look at the matchups and see which players on your team have a favorable matchup so that you can start
