Phonological awareness is students understanding of sound awareness of being able to hear the sound as and continues stream know as phones. Children at a young age should be learning and understand the basic concepts of English has a streamline and be able to break down the sound components. As teachers, it is important to understand the most efficient and engaging of teaching to their students, reading and writing.

Phonological awareness and phonics are closely connected in teaching young children, firstly we need to understand what phonics is. Phonics is a method of the teaching smallest unit of sound in the English language, not only repressed by one letter but also between patterns and sound-letter relationship. As explained phonological awareness develops through a gradual process of refinement of sounds, starting with broad distinctions between general sounds, moving ultimately towards fine gradations of phonemes (Barratt-Pugh, Rivalland, Hamer & Adams, 2005a). Teachers must pay attention to presenting to their students, is very important in their education. An example of teaching strategies is scaffolding strategic support that teachers provide that allows children to complete a task they could not accomplish independently (Vygotsky, 1978; Wood, Bruner, & Ross, 1976). Teacher needs to plan out a task according to the child ability to help they respond and engaged the lesson there increase their independent performance in school.
