If you are like many people, you may have heard of professional microdermabrasion, but you don't know exactly what the procedure involves. You may also wonder whether it is worth the small investment over using at-home face scrubs that also remove dead, dry skin from your face. The truth is that microdermabrasion is much better for your skin than those over-the-counter or DIY face scrubs, and here are two reasons why.
1. Face Scrubs Contain Jagged Particles That Can Tear Your Face
If you look at the ingredients in your face scrub, you will likely see that the particles that scrub your face are nut shell pieces or other rough ingredients, such as sea salt. While these particles do remove skin from your face, they remove it very haphazardly

and unevenly, and they can even tear your delicate facial skin. Tiny tears in your skin, called "micro-tears", are not visible to the naked eye, so you won't even know when they are developing when using a rough facial scrub. These tears then become havens for bacteria to embed itself and lead to acne breakouts and even skin infections. Professional microdermabrasion, on the other hand, exfoliates the surface of your skin very gently and evenly. Tiny crystals are projected from the microdermabrasion wand that are much, much smaller and rounder than those jagged particles of nut shells or sea salt. This means no tears in your skin and no damage during treatment. A good microdermabrasion practitioner also ensures that every part of your face receives just as much exfoliation as it needs.
He or she may go over that tough area of acne scarring twice while exfoliating the more delicate areas of your face only once.
2. Microdermabrasion Can Stimulate Collagen Production in Your Skin
If you have skin that is sensitive to chemical exfoliants, such as glycolic acid, that are known to help stimulate collagen production as well as remove dead skin from your face, then you may feel like you are missing out on this great anti-aging feature of chemical exfoliation. You can't achieve the same effect with face scrubs.
Microdermabrasion, on the other hand, has been proven to stimulate collagen production in skin, just as those chemical exfoliants do. This makes it a great alternative to chemical anti-aging treatments that are just too harsh for some people's skin. Microdermabrasion is also all-natural, so if you fear that there may be undiscovered long-term side effects when using chemical anti-aging products, you can feel safer when obtaining microdermabrasion.
Before you use that at-home face scrub again, remember that it may be doing your skin more harm than good. Consider obtaining microdermabrasion instead, so you can have all of the benefits of safe exfoliation without damaging your skin in the
process.
Acne damages the skin. The bacteria and oil cause damage to the pores, skin, and underlying tissue. In response, the body sends white blood cells and other treatment molecules called collagen to the area in an attempt to heal the damaged tissues. Most acne scars only affect the outer layers of skin. Depending on how much collagen one’s body produces affects the scar type, if the scars are depressed the body does not produce enough collagen, if the scars are raised the body produced too much collagen (American Association of Dermatology 2011).
Epithelia tissue : Epithelial tissue, the type of tissue that lines the surfaces and cavities of your body 's organs, epithelia may be composed of several layers of cells called compound epithelia or just a single layer known as simple epithelia.
While there are multiple facets of the industry that I am attracted to, I am most passionate about facials and skin care treatments. I enjoy having the ability to help someone improve the appearance and health of their skin, while also educating my clients on what their skin needs and how they can further improve it at home. Along with facials and skin care, I am very interested in microblading and other permanent and semi-permanent makeup techniques, including scalp micropigmentation and areola pigmentation. When done properly, microblading can camouflage missing or sparse eyebrow hairs with hair-like strokes using small deposits of cosmetic tattoo pigments.
The Beauty Industry being such a wide market of services and products include providing for the care of our skin, hair, selling of perfumes and cosmetics (“What is the Beauty Industry?”2014) and now developing more extensively into basic cosmetic surgery and treatments, now gives society a big opportunity to pamper and nourish themselves in more extensive ways. Throughout this essay, the branches of dermatology and dermal therapies will be explained; common skin disorders and specifically a treatment called ‘Ultrasonic Peeling’ and how it can potentially help with skin disorders imposed today will be explored and described in detail. After the investigation of what Ultrasonic Peeling is and how it works, I will also state my opinion on how well I think the treatment benefits its users, give my evaluation if I would consider using it, what I think the positives and negatives are and in scenario, assess whether it is a treatment that more salons should consider offering.
...ective results while others see minor or temporary clearing. Generally, the best and effective treatments in the best of conditions results in only 50% reduction in acne. That is why, skin specialists are looking for and are trying combined treatments which can prove effective and help the skin stay clear longer.
The primary advantage is that the laser treatment is an absolutely harmless and painless method of facial. It does not involve going under knife and bearing the pain.
A resurfacing procedure is considered to be any treatment that removes a layer of skin or layers of skin. Resurfacing treatments can include and are not limited to micro-dermabrasion or the more intense dermabrasion, laser resurfacing with different types of laser or intense pulsed lights and chemical peels ranging in different depths (Philips & Hughes, 1998). After any type or resurfacing procedure, whether it would be a chemical peel or micro-dermabrasion, collagen formation is activated in the papillary dermis and elastin is produced in the papillary dermis (Phillips & Hughes, 1998). Some infections that can occur through having treatments such as micro-dermabrasion or chemical peels are bacterial infections. Bacterial infections can occur due to the fact that the barrier is impaired and the types of infections that can occur are herpes simplex, staphylococcus, streptococcus and pseudomonas (Khunger, 2007). Laser resurfacing has its own list of complications that can occur. In terms of removal of skin laser resurfacing can remove an approximate amount of 1.0cm of skin...

A few months ago I visited the dermatologist after eight months of suffering with what seemed like acne on my face, neck, and back, as well as psoriasis on the back of my scalp. I’m a strong believer in the connection between mind and body so I knew that the onset of this was related to what was going on in my life though I still couldn’t seem to get rid of it. On the day of my appointment, I was watching YouTube as I was getting ready and one of Teal Swan’s videos began to play through autoplay; How to Cure Acne. She began talking about the most effective way to physically clear acne with Andreas Moritz liver and gallbladder flush. I gave it some thought, but continued on to my appointment. Sitting in the chair my dermatologist told me that I had rosacea. She recommended that I stop using my current facial wash (before the age of 21 I never used facial cleaners, only water; as it turns out this is all my skin needs)
This treatment is considered to be effective for the removal of acne scars. This avoids the use of taking medicines and applying ointments. However, the treatment must be done by an experienced and specially traine...
A medical professional will apply medical, surgical, and diagnostic procedures in order to accomplish the most positive outcome. Some steps taken in dermatology are dermabrasion (an abrasive medical procedure using wire brushes and sandpaper to remove the outer layer of skin), biopsy (a surgical procedure where a tissue sample is taken for examination under a microscope) and an allergy skin test (any test in which a suspected allergen or sensitizer is applied to or injected into the skin to determine a patient’s sensitivity to it) (Gylys, 2013). More knowledge and understanding of diseases and conditions will allow more focused and successful application of current and new
Teens are more likely to jump from one acne treatment to another to an effective acne remedy. Teens who are upset about the state of their skin mostly use the topical treatments in excess in an attempt to speed the clearing of their skin. it is important for the teens to understand that any acne treatment, including the over the counter products need to be used as directed on the label. Applying them too often or in excess could cause dryness, redness, peeling, irritation and can worsen the situation, hence increasing the healing time of the acne.
Its severity can vary from only some spots to larger clusters of affected regions. as well as at the returned, pimples can appear on the face, neck, and chest. If acne is left untreated, dark spots and permanent scars can seem on the pores and skin as it clears. ……... fast records on back acne………..
This also minimizes the formation of wrinkles and exposes radiant youthful skin. Don’t walk around with layers of dead skin, find a gentle exfoliator or simply make one at home.
Ask your dermatologist how often you should exfoliate and through what means, based on your use of cosmetics, pollution in your area and other variables, in order to achieve your healthiest and most attractive
