The Coe’s Family Outing
Have you ever wondered what makes family gathering so special? What makes the event rewarding for all who participate? Why memories of your past calibration have an everlasting affect on family bonding. Well I would like to enlighten you all on what make my families outing so special. I recall as a young boy living in Queens, New York my father would come home from work on a Friday evening. He would be excited to get home to his family after working long hours at the construction site. My father would enter the house, take off his hat and coat and gently hang it on the coat rack. He would ask for his daily newspaper, sit down in his favorite lounge chair. Recline back into the chair and take a deep breath and “say I am finally home”. After reading the newspaper my father would call all of my brothers and sisters together and tell us he has an announcement. With a cool aid smile on his face, he would, “say it beach time again”. Hearing this our eyes would light up like stars in the night. We knew this meant we would be going to our favorite beach “Coney Island” in In Brooklyn New York. We knew my mother would put together a feast we all would love. She would prepare a lunch that was out of
Our day at the beach is coming to a close. However there is one thing I can remember about all of the fun and excitement. Our trip to the beach has a way of bringing our family closer together and building bounds of love that can never be broken. We are all grown and have our own families. Our children are the ones excited about the special family trips. The bonds we made is being passed on to our children who will pass it on to their children. Concreting their family connections. Teaching love of their brothers, sisters, aunts, uncles, mothers and fathers. Teach that there is no stronger bond than family. I remember so vividly how our family outing brought a family together and created love for
For spring break of 2011, my family decided to go to California on vacation. Matthew served his mission there, and he wanted to show us Southern California. Of course, since the closest we had ever been to a beach was Jefferson Lake in Rigby, the first thing we set out to do upon landing in Los Angeles was locate a beach on the ocean. We parked our rental van at Manhattan Beach and ran to the clear water.
My family, including aunts, uncles and cousins and some extended family, has been going to the Outer Banks for quite a few years now. It is a place where we can all be together without the chaos of our everyday lives. This is always where we have gone for vacation; we have taken other trips but always manage to make it there, too. While we are all at the beach it gives us time to spend with each other, unlike home where everyone is too busy with their own lives. We can catch up on stories from each other’s lives and not be caught up in the bustle of everyday life. Every evening we eat dinner together and then take a wa...
The fun of having family reunions, meeting up with people you care about, and having a great time. Celebration when each family member would show up, or come home from a long trip. Going to church, having another thing to bond about, and when people return from trips being able to “Listen to gospel music outside at the church homecoming”(Nikki Giovanni). The great memories seem to never last, they just fade away till there's nothing left. Food, it's what everybody needs to survive, and it's what help bonds people together, whether it's just gardening, eating, or both it seems to makes everybody happy. “I always like summer best you can eat fresh corn from daddy’s garden”(Nikki Giovanni). Enjoying every summer, being able to go hiking, swimming, or boating, just having fun with the family and enjoying the memories while they last.

Interacting with others, in the context of a social institution, is a common phenomenon that takes place every day. Through this socialization, members within society interact and learn about what is expected of them. These social expectations are most commonly communicated through socialization agents, such as the family, media, peers, and religion. To start, the family is one of the social institutions that each individual is born into. By interacting with parents, and maybe even brother and sisters, a baby begins to understand what behavior is and is not normal and expectable. Through the influence of family members and the individual 's interaction with others in society, the individual begins to form his/her own views and beliefs. While walking by the shore I was amazed by the soft smooth sand beneath my feet, it seemed like all the worries I had throughout the year were finally erased. There was a rock facing the ocean that it thought was really cool, so I decided to settle there for a moment to appreciate the view, I closed my eyes for a second letting myself comforted by the sounds of the ocean, the sounds the waves were making against the rocks was impressive. Spending a few more minutes on the rock I decided to go back. Tying to help my parents for making breakfast, they sent me and my brother to get bread, and a few croissants at the bakery. My brother was driving while I was still wondering the landscape, I thought it was interesting how this island contained a mix between mountains, and beaches. At the table, conversations were spontaneous and positives, I forgot how fun breakfast could be when spending with family. That day we had has a plan to go to the beach, my mom could guess what me and my father had in mind. It was scuba diving and hunting with harpoons, but before we had to first buy the necessary equipment, and study the fishes we could hunt, since some were protected, and review the fishes that were edible. Finally done with preparation we headed to the beach, me and my dad waited that day for so long, being a big fan of hunting, I was quite impressed by the number of variety the Mediterranean Sea could provide, also what really shocked
Going on a road trip with my family means the world to me. We drove to another state during summer vacation, and it was by far the best road trip I have ever been on. My family and I were able to go to many fun places. We ate so many exotic and delicious foods as well. Yet most importantly, I spent time with my family and their friends. It was the day when my family and I went to California for our summer vacation.

Throughout someone’s life they will go to many places with their family, friends, another relatives. I have been on a few vacations that have made a lasting impact on my life. But one of the most memorable vacations I have experienced was with my cousins. I went to goa beach. Most of you probably don’t know about that beach but it is a very famous one in south India. I enjoyed myself to the fullest. The beach environment was enlightening. I would not have wanted to take this trip with anyone other than my cousins. We had a great time on the ocean sands and swimming in the ocean everyday made this vacation unforgettable.
"The great gift of family life is to be intimately acquainted with people you might never even introduce yourself to, had life not done it for you." -Kendall Hailey. Many people among us think that a family reunion is boring. It is an unpleasant social affair where our parents drive us to go and stay there for a considerable length of time. There are odd individuals who come to us and kiss or embrace us while we are still considering "do I know him/her?”. It is because we believe that enjoying the holiday out with friends is much better than investing hours with the people, we “unfortunately” belong to. They have no other subject for discussion aside from our studies and grades. On the other hand, family gathering is always a new experience for someone who lives far away from his blood relations.
