I am very thankful for my family for many reasons. They are very loving I know this because they are very kind and they always try to help me for the better and that's all because they love me. It is my passion it makes me so happy. When I dance I always feel so special. I love being on stage I have been performing science the age of 4 maybe even before that. Just the feeling makes me so happy of doing what I love in front of others and to me it is so much fun. Dance makes my forget about everything else in the outside world. It relieves stress for me and calms me down. Dance also gives my joy. They feeling you get when you get a new move down is unspeakable, you feel so proud and now you can move on to the next movement. The challenge of dancing makes me feel joy inside even though it's difficult. Dance also inspires me so much. When I what he more advanced dancers I want to improve so I can be just like them. When others tell me that I inspired them makes me feel like the happiest person on Earth. I love dance with all my heart and I will never stop
“It’s up to you to make your life. Take what you have and stack it up like a tower of teetering blocks. Build your dream around that.” – Cheryl Strayed
Thanksgiving is undoubtedly a holiday to celebrate family. It also celebrates many other things, as the name suggests. Thanksgiving is a holiday to give thanks for the things that a person has rather than to wish for more things. Accomplishments and shiny cars are not part of the essence of Thanksgiving, as these do not have the inherent humbleness expected of the holiday. This air of humility and frugality, harkening back to the days of the pilgrims and Native Americans, is probably what lead Ellen Goodman to describe the holiday as a suppressing of individualism. However, the rift between individuality and family that Goodman describes in Thanksgiving is not as deep as she makes it seem, and Thanksgiving Day is hardly the only day of the
I’m thankful for child labor reforms that were developed throughout history allowing me not to have to work in such harsh conditions. These reforms allow me to obtain an education to strive in society today.
During thanksgiving I really like to reflect on everything I have and it’s just a great way to remind myself to be more generous and to hold what and who I love dearly and show them that I care about them. Especially during this time of year when everything can be very stressful with the end of the semester and some mid terms, it gives me a chance to think on the less fortunate who don’t even get an education and would love the chance to get what I have. I’m so thankful for my availability to music and the abundance of caring people in my life with so many opportunities for me right at this moment. I realize that a lot of people take everything they have for granted and honestly everyone does this from time to time, I really like to just bluntly tell people that I care about them and that I’m thankful for them to be in my life at this point, even if it's just to remind myself to be more grateful towards them. Just think about what you have and be grateful for the good
...hit with being on my own for the first time, being in a new city and being in college rather than high school, I was able to stay in a comfortable place while I made the transition to college. I am so thankful that I have my family, because without them, none of these things would have been possible at all. It is very easy to say that the decisions they made for me as a young child shaped my values as well as my self concept. All three of the concepts that I chose intertwine in some way. My primary group is what virtually started my value system. And without being brought up the way that I was by my parents, I would have never had the same concept of self. They have always built me up instead of tearing me down which is vital in a child's as well as an adult's life. I really am thankful for where I'm at and it's rather interesting to see how far I've come to get here.
Dance is easily the reason why I should stop functioning and breathing, yet it is the exact reason why I do. I never seem to be good enough to keep dancing, yet every time I step on that stage, I somehow become so much more talented than I could ever imagine. It is so easy to get lost in the swarm of emotions in dance, time is no object when the music is perfect and everything feels just right. Time is so easily lost when I would sit on my bedroom floor and cry because I am just not good enough to pull this dance off. Time is so easily lost when I spend hours watching dance video after dance video, to get that timing just right. And time is so easily lost, watching the same stupid eight count over and over, to just understand why I can’t do
Preparing the thanksgiving meal, enjoying the meal, and spending time with my family are the most important reasons I love thanksgiving so much. The reason thanksgiving is so important is because it brings my family together, so that we are able to spend time together. Also while we spend time together we get to talk and catch up for the weeks or months that we are not able to see each other. Also just being thankful for all the things that I
Family, friends, and giving thanks- this is what comes to mind when I think about Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving is a time for feeling gratitude for everyone and everything one is thankful for. Families and friends come together to celebrate everything that they are thankful for. While being thankful is a huge part of Thanksgiving, it is not a proper holiday without the immense amount of food. I am thankful for many things including my family, my friends, and food.
Thanksgiving is a holiday that is celebrated on the fourth Thursday during the month of November in the United States. Thanksgiving honors a legal holiday for people to be thankful for what they have, such as family and friends. Thanksgiving is meant to be spent with your family and not out shopping trying to find deals on items. In fact, in the article “Two Dozen Retailers Won’t Open on Thanksgiving-And They’re Shaming the Ones That Will,” it states, “Read between the lines and you’ll see that any retailer forcing employees to work on Thanksgiving must be an ‘unfriendly’ company.” Thanksgiving is about giving...not taking. Big name stores such as Walmart, Macy’s, and Target are staying open on Thanksgiving to make some extra money. Thanksgiving
My most favorite activities include entertaining an audience. Dance has been a part of my life for years. A way to grow and prosper into a better individual, dance involves training and skill. Taking jazz, tap, ballet and lyrical, dance has been a safe home for me to go to in need. During school and outside of school at Robin Dawn Academy, dance helps me in distress as well as work to becoming a better athlete. Cheerleading is also one of my favorite activities as well. Joining my sophomore year, cheerleading involves stamina and practice. Learning how to stunt and cheer on my
... emotionally or physically. Dance is a great way to express yourself when you are happy sad, excited, gloomy, or just to make yourself better. Dance did not start very clean or good, it had a mix of everything and it always will. So people who perform it make the best out of it and it becomes their passion. Always makes the best out of worst by dancing yourself in and out of it.
I am grateful for my life in many ways and for many reason, I was born 5 weeks premature and one of twins. Though my twin did not survive long enough for me to know him it gave me a purpose to try new things. Whenever I am scared of a new experience such as snow-boarding I think about how lucky I am to be alive and well. This thought helps me to spread my wings and embrace the unknown. Even simple things make me feel thankful, such as running in the rain or taking a walk with my dog or just a lazy Sunday afternoon with myself makes me think how great it is to be alive and here. I have always delight in the small moments in life and to think that they could never exist for me is depressing. Furthermore, being able to share my thoughts and feeling with people I love is something that brings me great joy.
So how does dance benefit me? Dance benefits me in many ways. Physically, mentally and socially. Physically dance benefits me by giving me an exercise, improving my health, and creating superfluidity in the brain. Mentally dance creates a creative outlet and it can reduce stress, anxiety, and depression. Socially dance benefits me by making a place where people can meet and create new friendships.
My family is a love I have. My immediate family consists of six people: my dad, mom, and three sisters and me. However, I love these people on a different scale than I love books. Whether it is a hand to guide, a tissue to wipe away tears, or simply a smile to make my day better I can count on people to love me and so, henceforth, I love them in return. I love my parents for many reasons. They are always there for me when I need help or am need of anything.
To many, dance is only an art. In reality, dance is much more. It 's an art, a sport, a way to express one’s self, a way to exercise, a way to get feelings out. Since the beginning of time, humans have used different types of dance to express themselves. There are many advantages to dancing, however there are also some disadvantages. Dance is one of the most physically and cognitively demanding sports.
