Now, more than any other period of time; equality has become a hot topic of discussion. One of the major talking points involves the rights of women to be allowed to compete with men in sports on the same or opposing teams. To begin with, let’s ponder if there’s even a demand from the general public for women to be allowed to play on male sports teams. Very few athletes in sports are barely even bothered about the fact women can’t compete with males in their respective sports. If there is no true desire to break down the gender barrier, then it only makes sense to force an unneeded change. Due to a lot of differences in physical characteristics, personal sporting interests, and economic considerations; bringing both genders together on the same team isn’t such a good bright idea.
There is also a substantial difference in what sports women and men play. Take a look at the majority of schools today from middle school all the way to professional teams. You will see that majority of men play a variety of contact sports such as wrestling, football and soccer. Girls generally tend to go for non-contact sports, such as …show more content…

Men are proven to grow bigger and stronger with extra testosterone which would make competition, especially in contact sports, very unfair. Men and women could never be in a boxing or UFC match together. The match would not only be controversial, but it would be out outrageous to even ponder the idea that a female would last in the ring, physically. There are certainly exception to the rule and many women are physically bigger and stronger than certain men, but these women would not be more physically capable than male professional athletes.
