In this report I will include me reflecting on employability activities I did during term 1 and term 2. This will include the dream job presentation, my skills, what skills I need to improve or development in order to become an accountant, and 3 Employability events I attended. Dream Job presentation. On the 19th of November 2013, I was set with a task to present a short presentation of my dream job and the steps needed in order to fulfil my dream job. My dream job is to become a chief financial officer or chief accounting officer. While researching about my dream job I found out a couple interesting points for example if I was to pass the chartered accounting exams, the average minimum salary would increase by 75% which would be from £20,000 to £35,000-£40,000. …show more content…

After graduating from my degree I will be doing ACCA exemption in order to qualify as a chartered accountant. After the ACCA exemptions I will need to get more experiences in the accounting and develop more skills in order to work my way up the ladder in order to become a CFO. Overall the experience of the researching about my dream job and presenting it was great. As I learnt about the steps I need in order to become a CFO. Assessing and developing employability skills In the end November 2013 and early December 2013, we were asked to complete an Employability Skills Exercise from University of Kent’s website. The Interpersonal Skills exercise has 32 questions which at the end would give you a result from 8 skills, this helps identifying your strength and weakness.
