With transportation becoming more modern and more advanced, many problems arise. Cars, specifically private cars, especially in a generation where many people are trying to become more independent and get their own means of transportation. This is not always a good idea, as more cars on the road means more traffic and congestion, especially in cities and highways. Traffic congestion has many negative effects in many different places, varying from phsychological problems all the way to environmental problems. There are many causes of traffic and congestion, ranging from too many cars on a road to poor traffic management. These difficulties affect many aspects of a person, from their lives at home and work, as well as their mental and physical health. Given the severity of the issue, it can even be fatal to the people on the roads. The contant emissions from cars are considered harmful to the environment, especially carbon monoxide, which is constantly emitted from cars. Having cars constantly stop and go during traffic congestions cause more carbon monoxide to be released into the atmosphere. This causes many troubles for people's health as well as the ozone layer. Psychologically, traffic can lead to bad driving and in turn, angry drivers. This leads to road rage, and even sudden actions that can be fatal to themselves or other drivers on the road. As a result, drivers under stress are prompted to express rude gestures, threaten other drivers as well as engage in vocal and physical altercations with them. Worse than that, these actions can lead to serious injuries or even death. With cars continuously moving and stopping, it is a natural part of human nature for people to get annoyed; this usually leads to road rage. It can also cause anxiety attacks, stress, anger problems, phobias, and heart problems. Alongside speeding, road rage is one of the many reasons accidents happen on the road. This can affect their education and work life greatly, as jobs and schools are strict on punctuality. The stress of getting to the destination on time causes people to rush, in turn putting them in danger of getting into an accident. Drivers can begin to speed down the roads, risking their lives to get to their destination on time. When the roads are too packed, however, drivers will then act out in anger instead.
