This data showed that absenteeism affects the student’s performance in school. Its negative effects need to be prevented by implementing this program that will help to improve the performance of the students. Based on the need, it is feasible to implement the program in the school.
Quality of the Program
The feasibility of this program also relies on the effects it has on the target audience. To evaluate the quality of the program, another similar program is being used for comparison. Based on the survey conducted by Beechgrove Elementary School, an attendance program has been implemented which the components of the program are closely related to this proposed program. The program resulted in an increase attendance rate and other positive results.
Figure 2: Types of Parental Involvement and its Popularity.
This figure shows that two most widely used methods of parent involvement are discussing the attendance policy at the beginning of the year and the importance of attendance. These two methods will be the main approach taken by the school in order to gain parental involvement in the program. The effectiveness of this method in other school indicates that similar approach can be adapted in the State College Elementary School.
Figure 3: Attendance Incentives used in Classroom by the Teachers
This figure displays the incentives used in the program. From the study, 86% of the teachers approve that these methods which are the certificates of recognition and prizes to be effective in encouraging good attendance. These are the two methods implemented in the program that are proven to be effective in encouraging student’s attendance.
Based on these encouraging effects on the target audience, it is safe to say this proposed ...

The After School Program provided an opportunity for students to work on homework, play games, and interact with friends and positive role models. The program was an alternative for students who might partake in risky behavior such as experimenting with drugs and alcohol, committing illegal or violent acts, and having unprotected sex. Parents benefited from the After School Program because they could trust their children were in a supervised place from 3:00 p.m. until they left work. Students benefited from the program because they were able to interact with their friends in a safe space without being trapped in an overbearing or structured program until their parents
Some professors in universities and some departments have very tight polices related with attendance. There are many universities and colleges in the world which doesn’t consider regular attendance in their grading part system. Sometime if the professor knows about the excessive number of times the student was absent they will mark the name of student and the final grade of that class is lowered. This topic is an issue of debate all over the world. Some people support this rule while other is against this rule. In this paper, I have presented many arguments in favor of strict attendance policy while some arguments are against the strict attendance policy. Students in college and universities are matured enough to take their own decision (Bastedo,
Population That Will Benefit From This Program This program would be beneficial to many people in the school community. It would benefit the students, the teachers, the parents, and the school in general. “Lateness and

The word truancy means “Run away from classes” and the students who always tend to keep themselves away from studies and avoid attending classes are called truants (Gosain 2013). In another vein, Stoll, (2002) in Chukwuka, (2013) defines truancy as “absence from school for no legitimate reason”. Nwana, (2004) in Adekunle, (2015) added that truancy involves intentionally absenting of oneself from school without permission, leaving without authorization and dodging of specific lesson periods. Therefore, it is clear that in a situation where a student absent himself from school without any concrete reason and the parents are not aware about it can be regarded as truancy. Many perspectives on factors that make learners play
When it comes to parental involvement, most people agree with the “why”; it’s the “how” that poses the challenge. The vast majority of parents want to be involved, but face significant barriers in doing so. The vast majority of schools welcome parent involvement, but with short parent meetings (for which both sides struggle to find time), it’s hard to know exactly what to do.
Around twenty years ago the National Center for Education Statistics asked, “What are the Most Serious Problems in Schools”. I will link to every article referenced at the end of this newsletter. Parent involvement was a much larger issue in public schools. I think this shows it often is not the parent’s fault they are not more involved. Financial motives often can be cited by parents who don’t attend their students’ events. In Public Schools teachers said parent involvement was a serious problem: 25.5% overall, 20.6% in Elementary School, and 30.7% in High School. In contrast the Private School
Mandatory attendance policy does not really enhance students' school performance as it's usually expected. Some teachers and schools believe students would study better if they come to class regularly. They argue that all lessons in text books should be explained, discussions should be held with full class. If students do not come to class, they would study nothing or make no progress. Some even think of students as lazy creatures who play truant to do everything they like but homework or assigned reading, so they take roll-call to ensure that all students come to class and work with them. What i can say is that attending class regularly does not mean you will have better understanding or performance. Some students sometimes miss class but they still study well. That's because there are some lessons they can study by themselves at home without spending too much time as those who study in class. On the other hand, so...
Parent involvement is one of the most influential aspects of student motivation. The parents are the initial teachers of the child before the child goes to school and encounters education through a teacher. If a parent is completely engaged in the learning process with a child, there can be growth between the child and the parent simultaneously. The parents set an example for the child, so that the child understands that help is in the classroom and at home. Alma Wright, a first and second grade teacher, believes that parents in the classroom are a good way to stimulate children. She says, “Their active participation is a positive influence. The school is open for parents to share their talents and motivate their children” (Drew, Olds, and Olds, 1974, p. 71).
Absenteeism is intentional or habitual absence in the workplace. It not only reduces the productivity, but also makes the company lose a lot of money. The issue of absenteeism should not be ignored. In order to help the company to reduce the cost and increase the productivity, the employers or the managers have a responsibility to know about the causes of absenteeism and how to reduce the absenteeism. There are some common causes of absenteeism that the managers should know that, such as workplace`s bullying, workplace`s condition, employee`s health, and unfairness. In the follow part, this research paper will show you how these issues relate to the absenteeism, and will also show you how to reduce the absenteeism. Absenteeism can be prevented or reduced, the cost cause by absenteeism can also be improved. The managers should know that.
To conclude, my research shows a clear link between parental involvement and children performing better in school. Children who's parents are involved in their education are showing better performance and are achieving higher grades. They also show better behaviour, more enthusiasm, ambition and higher levels of engagement. compared with children who's parent are not involved in their education. My research also shows that parental involvement has great benefits for both children and parents in many ways, so much so that the most effective schools are those who encouraged parents to be involved.
Attendance is a crucial aspect of a student’s education. When a student is tardy or absent, this interferes with them receiving the information given in class. Class introductions that include instructions, objectives, due dates, etc. may be missed if a student is tardy and if a student is absent, they may also get behind on their class work and homework. Communication between teacher and students about the classroom management procedures for these two things are important so that students are informed and are able to take the initiative to gather what they have missed which can help avoid them falling behind. If tardies and absences are frequent, a teacher may begin to be concerned and question what could be the possible reasons behind it, whether that be an outside force in a student’s life or something that may be happening in the teacher’s own classroom. Establishing a relationship and reflecting upon oneself as a teacher to why the class might be having
nineteenth century (Wallace). “Parent Involvement” and “parent participation” are nebulous terms because there is an array of parenting behaviors that this could include (Hickman). Either way you define it, parents must get involved. What many parents consider ‘being involved’ varies from family to family. No one is better placed or more qualified than parents to make a difference in their child’s academic and lifelong education (Bourquin). Parents are the vast resource that must be tapped to increase student learning (Hickman).
Adedipe (1998) in Musa, (2014) opined that children who are not adequately monitored by their parents may show a variety of unhealthy symptoms in behaviors. Adebisi (1996) in Musa, (2014) opines that broken homes is a factor that causes truancy and absenteeism in children because in most broken home there is no proper care for the child. Truancy on academic in secondary school is a situation in which students develop and show adverse attitude and behaviour to learning. They absent themselves from classes using unnecessary excuses such as in genuine sickness, fake suspension by the class teacher or school authority and involvement in sport activities. In broader aspect this shows how family/home a factor of truancy
