To be effective leader, one may have these following traits, motivating, optimistic, integrity, supporting and facilitate the team, effective communicator and decisive. Motivation is key for an effective workforce, an effective leader would be able to provide feed and drive that motivation. This can inspire action in your employees and improve productivity within the company. This trait can be developed when having a one on one meeting with employees discussing about work performance and set a vision for them. This can help identify their motivation and goals which would help unleash the extra potential from them. Having an optimistic mindset help maintain positive energy within the environment. This in turn will influence other employees to be positive instead of negative. Having a negative mindset can create poor work environment as staff are frustrated, stress and moody. Having enjoyment in the task can reduce the amount of energy required to complete the task. This trait can be developed by thinking positive about various aspect in life and work. As they have more support to depend on and better equipment to improve work flow. When supporting the team, it show that you really care about them and willing to go the extra bit for them, in turn they will see this and will perform better. Ways to support the team would include having weekly meeting talk about workplace, OHS, work ethnic and other issues and concern, taking notes and bring up to the manager to discuss and execute the resolution.
