Education is considered central for a good life that all of us strive to achieve and this is possible only when we realise the value of education and acquire knowledge through some procedures like learning because education cannot happen on its own and whatever learning we do it must help us acquire knowledge that is worthwhile and desirable. The process must enable a person to be able to reform oneself for the better and it must not be just a tool or means of getting a job but must be valuable in itself .If we believe that education implies value then it is not necessary that value should imply for education because not everything we value is education like we may value spending time with our families or learning music which is not education …show more content…

Hence it is important that we encourage creativity and thinking so that it enables and ensures values that are worthwhile since we cannot add extrinsic value at the cost of intrinsic .One of the roles that education must play is to help the learner internalize what they learnt rather than rote learning and it must help you change as a person rather than mastering a skill since education is not automatic it is difficult to gauge , sometimes when people feel that education is bad or a waste of time is because it lacks the desirability …show more content…

It must help you explore other cultures and perspectives and help develop capacities for self -criticism, with an ability to reflect and form a judgement on his own, but there may be problems in doing so like for example a thick curriculum may have domination of one culture that may restrict autonomy and there are chances of indoctrination and compromise on moral values so then what is a way out of this is something for all of us to think about .Will exposing learners to different ways of life help develop the ability to think and decide their own way of life? We may be not able to predetermine our choices but we definitely can have meaningful life choices to choose from hence it is important to build the rational capacities of learners to be able to understand that learning and knowledge are interconnected and one must be able to identify the differences between right and
