Education serves many purposes, one of these leads to deciding what career to pursue as an adult. We go through different phases in our education that bring us closer to the collegiate experience. Though we are too young to realize, our educators teach us with the purpose of reaching the collegiate level and obtain all the benefits of a full education. In my opinion, it's never too early to start planning for college. Early college planning will take away some of the stress that students feel in high school to choose a career, it will educate students on all the options available and will allow students more time to reach the requirements needed to achieve their collegiate goal.
Planning early for college will relieve some of the stress students feel in highschool to make a decision as to what career they will pursue. In high school, little is done to prepare students before entering college. It is only until the last years of high school that students begin to be questioned as to which career

Every students is different, from the speed at which they learning to the different economic needs that students may have. Early college planning would allow both students and families an opportunity to address the needs a student may have educationally or financially. Researching different options for a student will tailor the education of that students to fit more properly to the strengths and weakness that student has. In contrast to this, researching for options as early college planning could cause parents to dictate the future of students that have not yet matured to make their own decisions. Researching all the options available for students in early college planning would also allow students the opportunity to become more involved in their future. If students research their college options, students will be engaged in the process of their
“They laugh at me because I’m different; I laugh at them because they’re all the same” Kurt Cobain once said. However, would it be a good choice to be different and accept going to college in an earlier age instead of attending to a normal high school? Of course this has been greatly disputed; due to the fact that many students have a hard time deciding which option is more convenient and would actually lead them to accomplish their goals. Even though there are many early college schools that would offer an Associate’s degree without having to pay anything, there is people that would prefer to pay their career by themselves and have a normal life as most high scholars do without having to worry that much. Of course that going earlier to college would be challenging but it can bring students better opportunities in life, and also help them mature more rapidly so they could be able to understand what life is in reality.
Graduating early is when you graduate before you are suppose to. It was never common because no one ever seemed to think about it or want to put in the work to do it. For a long time high school was defined as the best time of your life. Everyone who spoke to you always said when you left you would miss it. No one really wanted to graduate early for that reason. People wanted to cherish the time they had in high school because they knew they only got to go through it once. It was a big idea to live up to. Senior year has this belief attached to it. It means a lot to people because it is their last year of high school and it was upsetting to know that you’d be leaving the people you have spent the last four years with. People thought you had to have as much fun as possible in high school and do all kinds of crazy things before you turned 18: when you would be considered and punished as an adult. Now those times have changed. High school is not looked upon as the best times of your life anymore. It is looked upon in almost a negative way. High school has changed a lot and it is not very enjoyable now. There are lots of reasons why someone would want to graduate early. For instance, maybe the student was bullied, maybe the student decided they wanted to move on and go to college, maybe the student got sick of their home life and wanted to move forward, or like me, maybe the student has their future waiting for them and all they need is to graduate high school so they could begin it.
Furthermore, to attend a university, it is becoming more expensive to receive a degree of your choice. Parents are expected to save their money from the moment their child is born, although, they might not have that privilege to save their earnings. One way I could benefit from the program is by saving money on tuition. My sister is currently attending college and by the time I graduate high school, my parents would like to save as much money as possible. By completing about thirty college credits, my tuition overall reduces. Another way I could benefit from Early College is by attending college classes. It will help me later on in my education and it will prepare me for university level work.
Many parents tend to question if they or their child is ready for early college. They fear their child isn’t mentally or emotionally focused to go off to college by themselves. What they don’t realize is students going to college early bring about better jobs, connections, opportunities, and a better experience.
Mario Andretti once said, “Desire is the key to motivation, but it's determination and commitment to an unrelenting pursuit of your goal - a commitment to excellence - that will enable you to attain the success you seek.” Andretti’s words are as true today as when he spoke them. Everyday should be a continuous journey to get to your goal. Starting off with the right step is a major component. Therefore, I chose to apply to Stanly Early College High. I believe that I have the ability to work up to Stanly Early College standards. Determination, dedication, and desire are all qualities that I have.
The Early College Program will help me obtain skills that I will be able to use for the rest of my life. Skills such as time management, good work ethic, and self-discipline. The Early College Program will help me better develop my time management skills because I will have to juggle the work from my regular classes plus college classes and maybe even a part time job.
People after high school should have a plan, well at least an idea. That idea will depend on the person and the person’s idea of what they want to do for themselves after high school. I am sure that no one’s parents will say to their kid,” stay home and not go to work”. Let’s say a person wants to go to the Coast Guard, well that is very vague and there are many things the Coast Guard offers. Let’s say they wanted to go to the Coast Guard but didn’t know how. Here’s how to get started.
College is a great way of figuring out what you are and what you want to become. People who are against those who turn professional at an early age say that education should be a top of their list of priorities. “Education and college prepares you for a life outside of sports”, states a columnist from brainevent.com. I too am a firm believer in this, and I also believe that children should continue their education as long as possible. Getting educated helps better your life and molds you into a well rounded person.
Since I grew up in a household with two parents who are college graduates, and even two grandparents who had graduated from college, the idea of attending college was never seen as a unique opportunity, but rather as a necessary part of my future. I’m not going to complain about growing up with parents who valued the pursuit of knowledge, but it certainly never exposed me to the mindset that maybe college is not the best option for everyone after high school. Today, there is a huge debate over if the price of college is really worth it in the end, with the high cost of tuition and the number of people who just aren’t prepared for the demands that college has to offer. And on the other side, some say that college is a necessity not just in one’s
Graduating High school is a milestone for many, it’s a step into the world full of opportunities and the next step to pursuing higher education. Many students begin the process of figuring out what college they would like to attend prior to even graduating, this is something that is instilled in students all throughout their years of schooling. Most high school students know what college they want to in their junior year of high school, while others conduct extensive research. Students want to attend a school that they can call their second home, especially because some students move away from home to pursue further education. Although Mark Edmundson has noted that higher education caters to consumerist tendencies of students, he has overlooked

Further education gives students an opportunity to develop skills, talents, and discover new interests. It teaches students how to examine, evaluate, and compare arguments with different people. Many young students are undecided about their career path when they think about college. Choosing a major can be a very stressful situation so why not sit down and take some time to do it? Be creative, don’t rush, give yourself plenty of time and really think about what interests you in life. My major is something that I will want to enjoy, something that I will be doing for the rest of my life. Why would I want to be miserable at something I do in life? In two short essays: “College? What’s in It for me?” by Steven M. Richardson, and “What It Means to Be Creative”, by S.I. Hayakawa, I can relate to my major very well. Athletic Training is something that takes skill, as well as being creative in your own way. No two Athletic Trainers are the same. The more creative I am at whatever I do, the better off I will be. I hold the keys to all the doors that can ...
