Graduating early is when you graduate before you are suppose to. It was never common because no one ever seemed to think about it or want to put in the work to do it. For a long time high school was defined as the best time of your life. Everyone who spoke to you always said when you left you would miss it. No one really wanted to graduate early for that reason. People wanted to cherish the time they had in high school because they knew they only got to go through it once. It was a big idea to live up to. Senior year has this belief attached to it. It means a lot to people because it is their last year of high school and it was upsetting to know that you’d be leaving the people you have spent the last four years with. People thought you had to have as much fun as possible in high school and do all kinds of crazy things before you turned 18: when you would be considered and punished as an adult. Now those times have changed. High school is not looked upon as the best times of your life anymore. It is looked upon in almost a negative way. High school has changed a lot and it is not very enjoyable now. There are lots of reasons why someone would want to graduate early. For instance, maybe the student was bullied, maybe the student decided they wanted to move on and go to college, maybe the student got sick of their home life and wanted to move forward, or like me, maybe the student has their future waiting for them and all they need is to graduate high school so they could begin it.
It can train me to be properly prepared with a college mindset instead of having that mindset that is still in high school. I can gain a bachelors, possibly a masters, degree as I go to college. Having a bachelors or masters degree gives me not just a sense of accomplishment by making my family proud, but also a feeling of accomplishment of how far I have overcame to reach that degree. But all of this would not happen if it were not for the help of this program that will soon become the backbone of living a better life.
As John Dewey once said, “Education is not preparation for life; education is life itself”. Currently, I am receiving my education from Cactus Shadows High School and I still have an adequate amount of learning to do. The thought has crossed my mind to jump-start my college education by enrolling into the Puma College Connection Program. Early College is an excellent program and I will show how I will benefit from the program, what my strengths and weakness are, and what my future goals are.

Going to college and getting a degree is a very important factor in succeeding in the 21st century competitive world. Nonetheless, many people do not go to college because of how expensive col-lege has become and the fear of being in debt. Sometimes college does not work out for every-one. President Barack Obama has proposed a plan to make the first two years of community col-lege free to encourage people to go to college, get a degree, and make the United States the most educated country or at least catch up to the rest of the countries like Russia and Canada. Howev-er, Obama 's action of reducing the costs of community college will not significantly increase the number of students who will graduate with degrees. Instead of making college
Mario Andretti once said, “Desire is the key to motivation, but it's determination and commitment to an unrelenting pursuit of your goal - a commitment to excellence - that will enable you to attain the success you seek.” Andretti’s words are as true today as when he spoke them. Everyday should be a continuous journey to get to your goal. Starting off with the right step is a major component. Therefore, I chose to apply to Stanly Early College High. I believe that I have the ability to work up to Stanly Early College standards. Determination, dedication, and desire are all qualities that I have.
College is a great way of figuring out what you are and what you want to become. People who are against those who turn professional at an early age say that education should be a top of their list of priorities. “Education and college prepares you for a life outside of sports”, states a columnist from brainevent.com. I too am a firm believer in this, and I also believe that children should continue their education as long as possible. Getting educated helps better your life and molds you into a well rounded person.
Let’s start off with how college is a great investment shall we? College is a great investment for guiding you in the right direction to success, or helping you along the way. Continual learning, instead of rehashing the same information over and over again or speeding lessons excessively, helps with a
The steep cost of college is one of several factors barring many students from going. Many people support this claim with some adding that there are other socio-economic factors that also contribute to this issue. A few people think that college is not that expensive and should be viewed as an investment. Either way, some students are still struggling to pay for their college education. A practical position that is commonly overlooked that addresses this problem is early exposure to college before high school. While ninth grade is typically viewed as a good time to start thinking about college, it would be more beneficial to students if they started before then in middle school. But if going to this school does not benefit the student from going into their planned major, why go to this school? Going to the right school allows students to be able to meet their degree requirements earlier in their college careers. With this, students may find themselves obtaining two college majors, a minor or a certificate that may help them later in their careers. This can also open up more opportunities for the students to explore a variety of other courses
