Life After High School What is your dream job? Do you wish to fly into space to explore the depths of the universe or do surgeries to save lives? Do you wish to be a famous actor in every movie or put out fires when they happen? Everyone in the world has a dream job. As a kid you fantasize about your dream job. As you grow up you must now choose what you want. This was my life as a kid. I love animals and always wanted to work with them. This started out when I was very young. The neighborhood I grew up in had many homeless animals. Ultimately we took in a cat named Benny. Benny seemed liked the smartest animal in the world. He was an outdoor cat but whenever he wanted fed or got to cold he would walk up to our door, stand up on his hind legs and ring the doorbell. He was the second cat we had but he was my closest friend. When he died I became inspired to become a veterinarian to save animals. However, I also had a love for horses. I have been riding since I was in Elementary school. Riding a horse is the closest thing you can get to freedom. Throughout my years of riding I also was inspired to become an equine trainer. This may seem like a fairly low amount of money, but the lowest ten percent receive less than $17,650. The highest ten percent receive more than $57,160. However, these numbers can change depending on certain circumstances. The first circumstance is where you live. Certain areas may have a higher amount of pay while other areas may be lower. The second circumstance is your experience. Animal trainers are reviewed closely. Your work experience and your education are major factors for people to consider hiring you. Finally, the pay will also depend on if you are self employed or not. If you are self employed, you decide your own prices. Though the pay is just an average, it can waver constantly. There is also the process of how to become one (“Animal Care and Service Workers:
I have a plan to attend college once I graduate high school. I have not yet achieved that goal, but I hope to. I want to attend a two year school and study to be a Vet Technician. Hopefully once I do graduate college, I’ll finally be able to work with animals, My dream career. I’m unsure if I want to keep it simple and work in a shelter, or if I want to save lives and become a vet, or perhaps work as a zookeeper. Growing up. I used to always dream about opening my own “Pet Hotel”, maybe someday I could do that. Honestly, I don’t care much about what I do, as long as I’m happy doing it.
When I was little my teachers would ask me “Cora, What do you want to be when you grow up”? In reality, I couldn’t make up my mind on what I wanted to be ‘when I grew up’. When I was around seven, I went from wanting to be a Veterinarian to being an Astronaut, then back to a Veterinarian again. Around age 10, I wanted to be a dentist, even though I hate mouths. Then I wanted to be a Veterinarian again. Junior Year of high school came and when we started to research colleges and careers I heard that Premed programs were so hard to get into, and I wasn’t fooling anyone with my grades. I did some research on Veterinarians and I discovered that the Veterinarians don’t really handle the animals like I thought they did. Then I learned about Veterinary Technicians, they do so much with the animals. I
When I was a child most of school was always based on what you wanted to be. Constantly I was being asked what I wanted to become, I had always answered with a careless answer that every adult expected. I honestly had no idea what I wanted to be when I grew up. Soon as I moved through middle school and now going through high school I became interested in the medical field. With my passion for animals and always wanting to help them, I soon realized what I wanted to specialize in. I am interested in pursuing a career in veterinary the reason I would like to make my plan concur because I want to improve animal 's health, perform operations to cure them and possibly help them stay healthier for a much longer period. Veterinarians are always doing
I have always wondered what my future career would be.I experienced many things during my days in school and at home.My experiences helped me realize that I should become an animal caretaker.Becoming an animal caretaker would mean that I could spend my time working and interacting with animals.I would need to be able to care for living creatures, have the right education, and withstand the disadvantages.
What is secondary transition? Why is it important for school personnel to help students plan for post-school transitions?
Many people choose different career paths. Some people have broad visions of the way their career path is going to be. Some people have decided they want to be Veterinarian Technicians, being a vet tech you will be helping the veterinarians and assisting them with all of the animals. Being a vet tech is a different job for some people but if you are interested in animals it would be right up your ally. Here are some plans and some ideas of what all goes into being a veterinary technician.
The career I would like to pursue is Veterinary Technology. I have a passion for working with and around animals. If you love animals and have an interest in helping them, this may be the career for you.
The career as the animal caretaker looks after animal wherever they are housed, including in kennels, pet shops, and zoos. Caretakers generally earn between $8 to $15 an hour. For those who work full-time this works out to about $16,000 to $31,000 a year. Caretakers earn a median wage of about $9 an hour. This translates to a median income of around $20,000 a year.
I selected this career because I love all kinds of animals and I think that a veterinarian is the right career for me. My aunt is in the ASPCA, and cares for many animals, so I grew up loving nature and having pets. Another reason that I think this is a good career for me is that I wouldn’t mind going into the medical field. I would love to save the lives of animals and help them get better when they are sick. There are a lot of animal jobs out there, but this one stood out to me.When I took my career test, my top two results were trade vocations and arts and culinary. My top sub-interest was communications. In my opinion, my results were not completely accurate. I do have interests in culinary work, but I wouldn’t want it to be my career.
It is very common that many high school students hold part time jobs while going to school. When these teens work, they are able to learn and experience life lessons from ethical and moral work. Knowing that school is aways and should be a priority, students should work while in high school because working helps students be more responsible with their lives, help them practice time managment, and also helps students see and experience the real world.
“What are your plans after high school?.”, This is a question that everyone is asked multiple times throughout the course of their lives. Sometimes it is just something that they themselves ponder in their own thoughts. What someone does after high school should be something that is not only interesting to that person, but will ultimately lead them into a career that they will loved and enjoy. A great career that is definitely worth considering is that of a paramedic. The job description of a paramedic is very broad and can have many affects on a person's life. But not only is this job greatly fulfilling to someone’s personal life, it is also very fulfilling to someone else’s life as well. It is a fast paced, adrenaline fueled job that requires more than the faint of heart. It requires a person who not only enjoys the thrill of the rush and a hard adrenaline pump, but is also content with
Honestly I’m just not sure what I want to be. One job that stuck out to me was a wildlife biologist. A wildlife biologist studies the behaviors, reproduction, population, and movement patterns of animals. At first, I thought this would be a great job for me since I love the outdoors and animals.
Most people imagine their dream job is to become a famous actor or a job they have seen done many times. Though because of the progression of technology I would be more suited in a field involving computers. My dream job is to become a successful software engineer because I have always been into computer systems, but can I fit this job, is the career life something I can manage and what opportunities should I go after when becoming a software engineer. Each time I notice how a program is used I wonder how can I make it become faster or more efficient. When you are using your cell phone or iPad there is usually an update at every month. This is because apple is improving the speed of your applications. A software engineer is sometimes overlooked, but without software engineer’s applications would either crash or would not improve. Although most people may feel looking at a computer all day and trying to fix it is uninteresting, I find it challenging
Time flies so fast. Looking back, my high school is just like a movie, a lot of things happened. High School is four years of growing up and probably a time in your life where you go through the most changes. In high school you are able to discover yourself and find out who you are as a person. Each year is special and unique in their own way. My journey through high school was a tough one, especially because I decided to not only focus on academic work but also to invest quality time in extra curriculum activities. I wanted more than just academic excellence; I wanted to be a leader, I wanted to add value to every aspect of my life, I wanted a rounded education and not just mere schooling. My success story is what I will like to share with you; how I really made it and how this defines my personality. My journey in High School was scary, exciting, and successful.
Life contains an unlimited amount of life lessons; my main life lesson has inspired me to never give up on myself or my goals. Through my life experiences I have learned that there is no such thing as failure. I am certain with myself that I can find success through hard work and dedication. My career aspiration is to help others as a healthcare professional. More specifically, I have a dream of pursuing a career in physical therapy. Nothing gives me more self-satisfaction than to see that I am able to help people self-improve. Therefore, I have committed to studying and preparing myself for graduate school. I am currently an Undergraduate student at the University of Central Florida, destined to graduate in the Fall of 2017. There are multiple Undergraduate degree paths I can take to prepare myself for grad-school; however, I chose a path that can help me develop skills to provide the best possible service for my future patients. I am pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Sciences
