DIRT BIKES
There are two basic types of motorcycles. One type is made for riding on smooth
surfaces like roads or paved race tracks. These motorcycles are called road bikes. They
are heavier, faster, and more powerful than off-road bikes. Off-road motorcycles, or dirt
bikes, are lighter than road bikes. Dirt bikes are built to handle rough terrain like dirt,
mud, and rocks.
Not all people use dirt bikes for sport. Some people need their dirt bikes for work.
“Members of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police ride Honda, Kawasaki, and Suzuki dirt
bikes instead of horses.';(Motocross, 128) Forest rangers take dirt bikes out on patrol.
Some cowboys even herd cattle from the seats of their dirt bikes. “Workers also
travel deep into the woods on dirt bikes to repair telephone equipment.';(Chris Lace,10)
“Most people ride dirt bikes for fun. They enjoy being out doors and
finding new places to ride. They can follow an old trail or blaze a new one.
Riders are basically free on their dirt bikes, just be sure that you know what
your doing and do not get lost. Also make sure the area you are riding
permits the use of dirt bikes. Due to the stupidity of some reckless riders
areas for riding are diminishing.';(Chris Lace,45) This is true places to ride
are becoming less and less due to a few unmannered people.
Many people also use dirt bikes to experience the excitement of competition.
Different types of dirt-bike racing include motocross, supercross, trials, and enduro.
Motocross is held out-side. It usually has about twenty to forty participants. They race
on tracks about three quarters to one mile long. They usually lap around five to twenty
times give or take some laps, depending on the race. Supercross is held in an indoor
stadium on oval to circular tracks. Usually you need an sponsor to get into one of these
races. Trials are not even actual races, and requires a special trial bike. These bikes are
longer and lighter with lower geared engines than the typical dirt bike. Trial bikes are

... ever you ride a dirt bike you should be wearing the right equipment.
You should be wearing a helmet, goggles, jersey, pants, boots, gloves, and a chest
protector. A helmet should fit snugly, it should also be full faced and made of fiberglass.
The goggles should also fit snugly to keep dust and dirt out of your eyes. Goggles with
wide elastic straps and scratch resistant lenses are best. The jersey should be bright, so
others can see you. Pants of a good quality are made of nylon and leather and have inserts
for pads at the thighs and knees should be worn. Boots made of thick cow hide that cover
the entire shin protect you best. gloves made of nylon with leather palms protect your hands from rocks that may fly up. Chest protectors also help protect against any rocks that may
be kicked up.
When ever you go out riding whether it be for pleasure or for sport, on-or off-road
always use your head. Follow the basic rules of riding, never go alone, wear your gear,
have a spare part or two with you, bring your fuel, and don not do what you cannot do
with out practicing for a while. Do this and you should have a fun and enjoyable time.
Needless to say, that experience has changed over time. It began from a simplistic design in 1904 as a motorized bike. However, as time progressed it brought about the introduction of the biker gang era. These were the bad asses image riding their heavy bikes down the highway, rebels who refused to give in to society’s pressures. It was the time of the Hell’s Angels, with their patches, long hair, and untidy beards that became the symbol of freedom on the road. They created the mantra of the bad ass dude on a bad ass American bike and no one was gonna tell him what to
Dirt track racing is exactly what is says; dirt racing is a type of auto-racing that takes place on an oval dirt track (“What Dirt?”). The National Dirt Racking Association was formed in 1978, by Mr. Robert Smawley. Smawley was born and raised in Kingsport, Tennessee. Smawley promoted his first race in Newport, Tennessee. He gave the winner (the first to finish the 100 lap race) $10,000 (“In”).
Anyone willing to take the steps should be allowed to license and ride their ATV on public
The company Dirt Bikes is facing the same current dilemma that many companies these days face. Trying to continue to make a profit in this economy and stay competitive and up to date with technology and its ever-changing advancements is no easy task these days. Dirt Bikes has concerns over their current costs of communications between their employees and departments, they are looking to advance their ability to keep up with the developments in the motorcycle industry and the global economy surrounding their organization. There are many considerations their organization must consider when implementing an entire new technology infrastructure. They must consider the overall costs, how the entire infrastructure will affect their organization as well as their employees. They must consider the time and effort it will take to train all their employees on the new technology, including the costs of that training, as well.

The Seagate Ultras on November 26, 1994, included races of 60 km, 50 miles, and 100 km, each run on the same 1.1 mile loop. There were approximately 10, 10, and 6 runners, respectively, in these races, which were judged separately. My 9:29 time for 100 km was not very fast, but it won that race easily, and I also went through 60 km and 50 miles faster than anyone in those races. So I am not a novice.

First, a trip to the track takes longer than a street race, since the closest track in the southwest suburbs of Chicago is an hour away. Going to the track is a hassle versus the get set, ready, go drag race down the street. Simply, street racing is nearby and does not disturb anyone as the contest usually takes place in the dead of the night or in the wee hours of the morning. Secondly, legal racing at a circuit track costs hundreds of dollars. Drag strips are shorter, most commonly a quarter of a mile, than the longer circuit tracks, but the entrance fee is about twenty dollars, which adds up over repeated visits. On the other hand, street racing is free and in 20 seconds, a winner emerges from the duo. Lastly, racing at a track puts enormous stress on a car. By driving fast for extended periods on a track, consider the brakes and tires shot since both will need replacement from tracking over 200 miles per hour. In addition, launching a car from a dead stop at a track versus from a rolling start, as in street racing, is more difficult and can easily ruin the car. Although street racing is not as organized as track racing, impromptu racing has the advantages of availability, affordability, and economic
The clothes worn with a knight’s suit of armor gave both comfort and protection to the knight. The parts of a medieval knight's suit of armor were a complex series of garments, chain mail and iron plate. The pieces of a knight’s suit of armor covered the most exposed parts of a knight's body. Knights would wear under clothes consisted of a linen under-shirt and linen under-pants, woolen stockings covered the legs. A knight's underclothes were important. It prevented the armor from chafing the knight’s skin. A padded garment known by various names such as aketon, consisted of a quilted coat which was either sewn or stuffed with linen or even grass. This served as padding for additional armor worn over the top.

The second reason why dirt bikes are better is, the dirt bike costs less than the quad. For most people, to save money is everything and most people would prefer less money. The quad is heavier than the dirt bike and that’s means there are more parts and if someone would break a big part of the quad like the engine, the rod is broken, or that person broke the gas line. This shows that more people would buy dirt bikes more than
I. Teaching anyone to ride a bike is a most memorable experience, but having them obey the rules and regulations when riding is one of peoples first exposures to obeying the law. Cycling is a great way to exercise as well as a convenient mode of transportation. But before you start riding you should take a few minutes to consider some important safety precautions.
